Valuable Lands for Sale.
T HE undersigned offers for sale their Lands
in Screven county situated upon the Savan
nah River, between fifty and fifty-five miles from
the city of Savannah, and ten from the forty-five
mile station upon the Central Rail Rond. These
lands' consist of river swamp* oak and hickory
mixed, pine and pine lands—and contain (8000)
eight thousand acres. For a farm, these lands
can he recommended as second to none upon the
river, as there are in one body, about one thous
and acres of oak and hickory, and mixed pine
land, very level, and well adapted both for the cul
ture ofcorn and coUou. This body of land issit-
uated between the river swamp and the high pine
land which surround it, and may all be seen at one
view, fifihning one ofthe most beautiful, as well
as one of the most valuable situations for a farm,
in the Stale; (5QQ) five hundred acres of this land
are cleared and in good order fora crop the ensu-
ingyear. Besides this body of land, there are
many other tracts of fertile land which may bo
brought into profitably cultivation. There are
also upon the premises adjoining the plantation
a set of grist and saw mills, running two saws, npB
on an excellent stream, and contiguous thereto an
inexhaustible supply of the best yellow pine tim
ber upon the river; there is landings both for liuu
ber and steamboat wood, with which latter article
the lund also abounds. To a person disposed to
enter the lumber business, these lauds offer every
inducement, as thoy afford all the facilities for a
profitable procuring ofthe same. Tho range for
stock ofall kinds is excellent, better than can be
had on this side, of the frontier counties of die
State. There are^also up*n the premises three
improved settlements, two of which are as healthy
as any in the State.
Tbe undersigned, in view ofall the advantages
of the place and itt various resources, do with
confidence recommend it to any one wishing to
settle a large place, as one ofthe best selections
there can bo made, as they are well assured that
with proper management, as great profits may bo
realized hero, from the labor of one hundred
hands, as could be obtained upon any place in the
State. Persons in want of lands, would doubtless
add to their interest to make nn examination of
those lands beforo they purchase elsewhere. To
