A SAFE and certain remedy for coughs, colds,

breath, spitting of blood, consumption, &c.
It is notorious tliut coughs and colds arc the
forerunners of most, if not all, ofthoso deplorable
disorders; the inconsiderate who neglect to re<>
move thorn, even in their first and second stages,
do but too frequently realism the fuel. W hen,
therefore, we reflect upon the innumerable ob
jects who are laboring under ull tho calamitous
u fleets of consumption, contracted by imittuution,
our feelings subside into, those of sympathy, and.

prematurely fall a sacrifice to tho*e conipluiiits.and

Of fatal woes, a cough Uiut foams with blood,
AflUimas, aud inflammation of the lungs,
Or the slow mincings ofthe hectic lire."
Tho true cause of these complaints, namely,
coughs mid colds,is a suppression of perspirau.on.
The cold, tho damp, the foggy wuatucr, or the
frequent dliuiiges Wpich take placfi in mo atmos
phere, occasion tlie body to become affected. In
consequence of that, t.jc pores and outlets ofthe
skip, which in time oflieahbare always breathing
out a line fluid, become so shut up, Hint the per
spirable matter, instead of circulating, freely thro’
the system, recoils upon the blood, fills the ves-
sclssuperabundantly, aud vitiates iu ouality.—

for coughs, colds, asthmas, whoop ing cough, short
ness oi breath and consumption, is allowed to be
ouo'of the most sale and effectual remedies, aud
the greatest discovery ever made in tho annuls of
medicine. It is a notorious fact, that in Ireland,'
where this Marine Plant is indigenous and the in
habitants nso it freely, consumptions rarely occur;
it is held by them in the highest estimation for its
excellent nnd salubrious virtues. Volumes would
not be suiticient to contain the mass of individuals
iu Britain, who have it, and experienced its heal
ing, balsamic, aud salubrious virtues. It is used
by persons ofthe highest distinction, and recom
mended by gentlemen of the first tiicdici! talent,

plaints. It promotes goalie perspiration,removes

"Le Cordial de Lucine,” or, iu English, "die
Lucina Cordial,” is a£eneralinvigorutorof the hu
man frame. In nil the various cases of languor
lassitude and debilitation, it is nil unfailing reme
dy, us it is equally its province to impart cheer
fulness nnd decision to tlie mind, as health aud vi
gor to tlie body. But the peculiar virtue oil which
its celehrity is Weil, is the facility nnd ccrtniutv
with which it restores the virilepuvvet s \vUeuthu\
have been destroyed by disease, time, _ reckless
ness, or any ofthe miincrouscotiscs which termi
nate in tho prostratiou of those functions.
In common with the generality of really goo-’
medicines, this Cordial contains nothing of a mer
curial or deleterious nature, among tlie many in
gredients which compose it; but is, at the same
time, so simple, yet so elficacious, that while it can
renovate the prostrated energies of a giant, an in
fant may use it, not only with impunity, but with
advantage. ,
The usages of society nre unfortunately such
that, notwithstanding tho benefits which would be
sure to result from it, we cannot enter into an an
alysis of this inestimable Cordial here, or publish
many of die documents which have been receiv
ed, ns vouchers of tha blessings it him conferred on
numbers of despairing individuals. But this we
cannot forbear remarking—that it has been de
monstrated that there is scarcely ever, if any such
thing at nil, ns natural barrenness, or as natural
imbecility of <ho piocreuut fuueuuus iu eidier sex;
and. therefore, that those evils nro the effects of
artificial causes, and maybe speedily snbdned nnd
removed by the use of ;, Lc Cordial de Lucine.”
Tlie Lucina Cordial is nlso an indubitable cure
for the Gleet, ami the Fluor Albus, obstructed,
difficult or painful Menstruation; also, for tlie
incontinence of Urine or the involuntary dis
charge thereof. It is likewise an invaluable ond
unrivalled medicine in cases of Chronic Erup
tions of tlie skin, and in the dropsical affections
of tho aged. . ■
