Tet ters, Ringworms, and herpetic eruptions gener ally, are among the most tedious nnu disugreenble aflcctions to which tho human frame is liable. Situated as it were, on the verge of vitality it is almost impossible to reach them by inward reme dies. Hence tho inefficacy of undergoing a course of medicine, or subjecting ourselves to the un- otmifortuble system of strict diet: such means by reducing the system merely palliate the symptoms while they are in practice, to recur as violently, or more so, when a generous diet is returned to. And the generality of external npplicatioushnve no other effect than the disease in one place, soon to show itselfin the same nrnnother part. A fresh supply just received by G. k. HENDRICKSON, Agent. july 29 Row mid's Tonic mixture, or Vegetable Febrifuge, A specific and lusting cure for Fever and Ague. T HIS worthy remedy earnestly repels the slur of being a quack medicine, it having been the result of many yours study, experience nnd labor, iir the tnedicnl practice and observation of Fever and Ague. It is composed of such medi cinal principles as were considered most fit to re store the harmony ofaction between the stomach, liver, nnd the other important functions of the system, the loss of which Imrmony is evidently the immediate cause of the disease. It speedily pro motes a regular nnd healthy appetite which is generally entirely destroyed or rendered very precarious; by which effect, vigor nnd strength is soon afforded to the whole system. It must be apparent to all. that a medicine possessing these peculiar virtues, is useful in a great variety of complaints. By renewing the healthy action of the digestive organs, it has proved itself of ro- markabln benefit in dyspepsia, depraved appetite, hbart-burn, water brush, flatulency, jaundice, night sweats, dysentery, bowel complaints, and all other affections of similar origin, but it is in tho treatment of Fevers, nnd especially in F.ever and Aguo, or Remittent Fever, that its powers have been principally tested, and with those who havo seen its usefulness, it is prdnouuced sover eign to nil remedies heretofore discovered fo those diseases. It has also been used as a pre ventive, by many who were subject to n periodi cal recurrence of the chills nml lover, nnd it has always warded off the apprehended nttnek. It was deemed not improper to accompany tho vegetable febrifuge with a few of tho many une quivocal certificates politely furnished to the pro prietor, corrohorativo ofthe foregoing statements. T HE Copaviiv Balm is, of all the medicines employed in combating the chronical nnd acute gonorrhaial affections, also the blennorham culled whites; tho only one, the specific action of which bus never been doubted, nnd to whiph physicians havo in cousequence given tho prefer ence; but its nauseous tuste aud smell are the causes of its being rejected hy many patients. This is the reqaou why so many experiments have been made m order to discover some mode of disguising its taste, so tlmt it might be taken with less repugnance; but hitherto this has been but imperfectly effected, and always by addition of some active substance which modifies its pro perties, nnd thus destroys its chemical constitu tion and its physical character. I therefore oiler a modo of administering it in such n state that it cannot occasion tlio slightest ronuguanco, and this without submitting it to any alteration.
