Savannah, hath been found inadequate to the
objeds contemplated thereby, Be it iberyjtfrc
ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of ti e e. ly
of Savannah in Council ajjembled , and it is here
by ordained by the authority of tbs fame, 1 hat
from and after the palling of this ordinance, it
shall nor be lawful for any person or ptrft ns
! whatsoever, to permit or ftifFer any hog or hogs
to go at large in the city of savannah, oi n
any (freer, lane, aly or square of the fame,
unless flich hog or hogs be well and (efficient
ly ringed in and through the nose to as to pre
vent their rooting. And be it ordained , and hat

Second. And be it further ordained. That
if any person or ptrfons whatsoever fliali re
fill: or oppose any officer or person in the
execution of this ordinance, inch person or
perlons shall, for every such offence, forfeit
and pay a sum not exceeding twenty dollars
one half to the person complaining, and oa©
