AN ACT,
To authorize the inhabitants of certain wards
that now are or may be laid off in Savannah,
to vote for Aldermen.
WHEREAS certain wards are laid olr from
the commons, appurtenant to the city of
Savannah, the inhabitants wheieof are not represented
in the council of the city of Si vannali.
Sec. J. Be it therefore enacted by the lenate and
houle ol r prefenatives of the Hate of Georgia j n gene
rai aflembly met, and bv the authority of the fame
that it thali and may be iawitii for the peri'ons entitled
to vote for Aldermen, and who reside in the prelent
new wards of ik.e city to meet together* and on the
firlt Monday in Januarv next at huh place or places as
die city council fhali direfr and vote for aldermen,
qualified to be elected as follows : tie two wards called
Greene and Columbia Hull be united and be emirled ro
one alderman. The wards called Liberty and Libert
sh dl be united and be entitled ro one alderman, ; to
be tied "d in manner and form as the other aldermen
for tne said city are elected, and to continue in office
j until the next general election for aldermen for the Did

bridge, or ro the fubferiber at Commerce Row, ihall
be reasonably rewarded.
