Kan-A way,
A FEW days ago a young negro wench named Lu
cy, who it is supposed will change her name, (Tie
is about twenty-five years of age, and about five feet
two inches high, thick and squat, and has the appear
ance o( a wench tar gone in pregnancy, being lufly.
She had with her a (iriped linfev wrapper, and also a
black suit of clothes, and efFeiffs to dress like the
French negroes. It is (Irongly fiifpedted that (he is
carried off along with fome other negroes from this
city, by fome evil disposed per funs, who may attempt
todifpose of them at alow rare, betwixt this place &
Florida. Should any negroes be offered fr*r lale in
ibis Rate orGeorgia, it is requeued that all fiNpicious
persons may be flopped and the negroes lodged m
goal for the good offocietv—one hundred dollars will
he paid on proof of t lie above wench being found in
pofleffion of any white person so as thev can be
brought to conviction— 50 dollars will he ppid on
apprehending her in the Hate of Georgia, and lodging
herinany jiil in the said date—and twenty dollars
will be paid if lecured in any jail in this (late.
