laid schooner Cornelia, in the city

“ An Aid to prevent the importa
tion of certain persons into certain

parel, hath become forfeited to the
United States.
Now, therefore, you the said

lia, to be and appear at a special
court of admiralty, to be holden at

and for the Diftrift of Georgia in
behalf of the United States against
a certain Schooner, or vessel called
the Friendship, from St. Auguftinr,
a foreign port and in the province
of Eafl: Florida fubjeft to the King
of Spain, now riding at Anchor in
the port of Savannah, whereof
Maurice Williams now is or lately
was master, Rating that the said
Maurice Williams did on or about
the twentyiecond instant come inra
the port of Savannah in theDiftrift
aforefaid-, having on bord the said
Schooner Friendship thirteen mats
or loaves of lump or refined sugar
weighing about two hundred and
seventeen pounds in contravention
of the ad of Congrcfs entitled, 4< an
ad to regulate the coliedion of
duties on irrrpofts and tonnage,”
Whereby the said Schooner Friend
fhip* her tackle, furniture, and ap
parel, ’& the said thirteen loaves or
mats, of lump or refined Sugar,
have become forfeited to the Unit
ed States.
Now therefore, you said Marfiiall
are hereby commanded to cite and
admonifti all and every person or
persons having or pretending to
have any right, title, interest, or
claim whatsoever into or out of the
Schooner Friendship, her tackel,
furniture and apparel and the said
thirteen mats or loaves, of lump
or refined Sugar to be and appear
at a special Court of Admirality t<i
holden at the court-house in the
city of Savannah on the ninth day
of August next at ten o’clock in
the forenoon, to answer the premises
and to (hew cause, if any they have
or can why the prayer of the Libel
ftiould not be granted, and that
what (hall appertain to right and

derstood in all courts of law, and
although rather in the flafli vul

known in polite and immaculate
courts.
