city of New-York.
It is refolvcd, That the health
officer be direded to order all vrf
fels coming from the port of New
York, or any other infected port
or place, to be brought to, at
Cocklpur, and theie to perform
* quarantine of fifteen days inclu and
ing their days of failing, and that
•during the performance of the said

ing to this port, with any articles
subject to putrefaction and finding
the fame in a decayed or unsound
(late, to land such articles at any
place which the said niafler or
commander may think proper, lb
that the said place be not higher up
the river than five fathom hole j
and that in such c.le the laid vciiel
shall be well ventilated, at lead
three days after the difeharge of
such decayed or unsound articles,

And it is further ordered, That

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS at the Gene
ral Flection held on the firft
Monday in October, one
thouiand eight hundred and
two, John Milledge was duly
elected to represent this Rate
iruhe House of Representatives
of the United States, for two
years, to commence from and
after the third day of March,
one thousand eight hundred
and three ; and by accepting
the office of Governor hath
made vacant that appointment;
And whebeas in and by

thought fit to issue this my
proclamation hereby notify
ing* direeling and ordering the
J ußices of the inferior Courts
of the refperiive counties in
this Rate to confider the fame
as a General Writ of election,
for filling the vacancy of a
member in the House of
Representatives of the United
States, occasioned as herein
before pointed out —And I
do hereby require and charge
the said Justices to give due
notice that tlie ek'Aion for the
purpose aforeiaid will be held
in the refpe&ive counties of
this Rate, on the day of the
general annual election, being
Monday the third of October
next.—And 1 do hereby fur
ther require that due return
of such election be made to
the Executive Department,
as in and by the said act is pre
ferred.

black mare which he has stole at

sible and capable of deceiving al
most any credulous person. The
above reward and all reasonable

who will apprehend said negro so
