THE SURE DEATH TRAP.
WHAT’S the use in running your legs
off on a long trap line to find a lot of
animals’ toes in your traps? It catches
by the neck instead of the feet, killing
instantly, without injuring the pelt. A
humane feature that is certainly com
mendable, besides it saves every fur to
the trapper. This trap has made a
great record for itself last season. One
trapper caught 18 mink and 10 musk
rats with three traps. A dime brings
you our 8-1-page illustrated Trapper’s
Guide, explaining everything. Daven

THE JEFFERSONIAN
THERE IS A REASON
Why orders for our WONDER BUGGY have been
tumbling over themselves getting to us in every mail.
The “WONDER” makes good every time.
We believe in honest goods, honest dealing and one
honest price—the same to all. Money cannot make
or buy better than we offer. Any one can offer a
cheap buggy at a low price, but the “WONDER”
quality, that lives up to those “iron-clad specifications”
in our catalog, is the thing you want to look for in
a vehicle.
We mean business. “Satisfaction or Money Back.”
Our Catalog Describes Other Styles, Also.
Why did The JEFF select our WONDER Buggy for the Contest ? Because for JEFF readers “ the best is none too good.”

“The South’s Largest Mail Order House.”
Obligations That a Democratic House
Owes the People of the Nation
By Grover C. Edmondson.
HERE isi no one thing as im
portant as the National Legis
lation for the ensuing year.
The Democrats have been
ffl
congratulating themselves on the re
cent victory, and with eager expecta
tions they are watching the Presi
dential out look for 1912; if a real
conservative leader is chosen, one
who is a friend to the masses, not
controlled by campaign managers,
the D-emocratic party, will in all prob
ability, be the victor in the great
contest that is just ahead.
William Jennings Bryan is a great
man, and was fittingly endowed to
lead a worthy cause, but judging by
the past we are forced to recognize
the fact that Bryan put party above
principles.
Twenty-three ingrates proclaim
ing to be Democrats deserted their
own party, alligned with The System,
rallied to the side of Cannon and
saved one of the most outrageous
machine dominations that this gov
ernment has ever witnessed. This
and the wilful disregard of the wel
fare of suffering constituents proves
conclusively that The System con
trols twenty-three members of the
Democratic camp. Six of the Cong
ressmen from Georgia betrayed the
people of their own state, and as a
fitting reward two of the three rank
advocates of Cannon went down and
out by the voice of the people.
This goes to show that the Demo
crats must work with the Insurgent
Republicans in order to accomplish
legislation to remedy the present
government ills.
Hon. Champ Clark should speak
out and declare the princples for
which he stands and give a frank
statement relative to his position on
the tariff. The great cause of the
recent swing of the pendulum of
public sentiment from Republican
ism to Democracy was a step in re
pudiation of the Payne-Aldrich Tar
iff law, and unless the Democrats
prove themselves worthy of the trust
which has been bestowed upon them,
and do so immediately without hes
itation, a great change will take
place. It is not improbable that a
new party may originate founded
upon the principles advocated by the
Insurgents, and with a critical sit
uation every loyal Democrat should
explain his position on the important
problems and let the people know
that every effort will be made in a
fight for the uplift of common good.
If Champ Clark considered it best
for the Speaker of the house to be
deprived pf the plutocratic rules un
der Cannon he should unite every
effort available and join the Insur
gents with his assistance and see
that the chair is deprived of the
House Rules. If William G. Brant
ley, Representative from the 11th.
Congressional District, considered it
best for the Speaker to hold the au
tocratic power he will as a matter of
precedent in his declared position
again join hands with the Republic
ans to save the power vested in the
Speaker; his position should be
watched by his constituents with
eagerness and he may prove himself
to be the unworthy hypocrite that
he has been alleged to be and the
voters of the 11th. Congressional
District will place the Corporation
henchman and Republican Ringster
in oblivion, where he will never have
another opportunity to betray his
constituents by an alliance with Re
publican leaders.
