The evil reports which have beeh so in* dustriously circulated to the prejudice of the BRIDGE BANK, having had the ef fect to bring down its issues upon it in mass; at a season of pressure unexampled in the annals of commerce, leave no alter native to the proprietors but to deposit in the Branch of the State Bank in Augusta, specialties and other securities to a much larger amount than there are Bridge Bills in circulation; which will be redeemed at the said bank, with interest at the rate of 8 per cent, per annum, from this day, as fast as collections can be made. These Springs are on the French Broad hi ver, in the county of Buncombe and state of North Carolina, two hundred miles from Augus ta in Georgia, and about the same distance from Columbia, in South Carolina. The subscriber having taken charge of this establishment for the present year, takes this opportunity to inform the public generally, that lie is well supplied with every thing the coun try affords for man and horse, and will epdeavor to promote the ease and comfort of those who may think proper to resort there either for health a* pleasure during the sickly season. It is need less to sayany thing in praise of these WATERS, their importance having been established by the experience of many years, in the cure and relief of many ofthe diseases with which humanity is afflicted.—Visitors can be accommodated with Limestone, Free Stone, and Warm Water, as their appetites may suit—a good Flat will be kept opposite the Springs, and other improve ments made for their convenience.
