INFORMATION being made to us, John; Bourrov/cs and Richard Gafcoignc Esquires, two of the Juilices affignedto keep the peace for laid county, by Randolph M'Gillis, £fq_ Sheriff, for said County, liaac Clayton and Abner Ilai rcl ? which had been taken by hint the said Sheriff Said Clayton, on a charge by the oath of William Plowden, of having feloneoufly taken, and carried away, Seveu head ot Cattle, the property of said William Plowden, and said Harrell, charged by th© oaths of Nathan Atkinson and William Gor men, with having feloncoufiy taken and carri ed away, ,ix head of Cattle, the property of the said Nathan Atkinson and William Gor man, appearing before John King and Thomas King, Eiquires, and us, after the arrest of the aforefaid Isaac Clayton and Abner Harrell and in their presence, did swear in the usual form, that they did know and believe, that the said Isaac Clayton and Abner Harrell, had felo~ neoufiy taken and carried away the aforefaid 1 Cattle, the property of the said Plowden and Atkinson, and the laid Isaac Clayton and Ab ner Harrell, being committed to the cuffody of said Sheriff, to be deposited in the Prison o£ Fort St. Tammany, in the charge of the coin-- manding officer of laid post, until a fufficient: gaol were made. After they had been com mitted as aforefaid, the said Isaac Clayton and Abner Harrell, feloneoufly broke the said Prison, and eloped from their confinement. THESE are therefore to command all and Angular, the Sheriff’s of this Hate, and all other officers, both civil and military, and the Citi zens thereof, throughout this state ; to be aid ing and alfiftmg the said Randolph M‘Gill:s, Sheriff as aforcleid, in taking and securing the fatd Isaac Clayton and Abner Harrell, io that they may be dealt with as the law diiccls.
