ROGERS, from Charlellon to Savannah, the
Veil'd being detained for fome days at Sulli
vans I (land, by contrary winds; the fubferi
hers with the consent ofCapt. Rogers, went on
fliore, he fit ft pledging bimfelf in the mod sa
cred manner, to fend his boat for us by 8
o’clock ; Yet neverthdefs, not regarding his
laid promise, so made as aforrfaid ; hut with
the fear of God before his eyes and villainy of
heart, did previous to the appointed time, and
without any notice whatsoever to us given

vannah, taking with him all our Cloths, Mo
ney, See. Sec. Thus we were from such ras
