WHEREAS, there is reason to fufpe£t that
this City has been deugnedly let on
FIRE, in several inftanccs, since the 25th of
November ‘aft. To bring the perpetrators of
such dreadful afts, to fpredy pnnifbment, and
to prevent a repetition of such attempts—l Ju
hereby with the consent of the City Council,
offer a reward-of ONE THOUSAND DOL
LARS, to anv person who will give informa
tion of any person or persons, that may have
been concerned in any such attempt, to be paid
on conviction of such person or persons. And
it is hereby earrieftly recommended to the In
habitants, that they be watchful in their Yards
and Out-Floufes, that any future attempts of a
timilar nature, may be frullrared.
Given under my hand and the seal of the
Corporation of Savannah, this eighth
day of December ; in the year of our
lord, one thousand seven hundred and

R AN away from the fublcribers, on Thurs
day night last. the following Negroe*, vix.
G(F (, a sailor fellow, likely and very black,
about twenty-(even years old, five feet feve*
or eight inches high ; had on when he went
away, * brown Jacket lined with red, a light
coloured waiilcoat and blue trowfers or nan
keen overhalls.
NLD, who is about forty years old, five
feet seven or eight inches high, had on, a blue
jacket and trowfers*; he has loft mod of hie
teeth.
KATE, a likely Wench, about twenty-five
years old, had on when (he went off, a dark,
grounded cnllico tappet, and a striped cottoi*
petticoat : It is likely she may change her
dress as she took other cloathing with her.
Whoever will apprehend the above Negroes,
and deliver them to the fublcribers in Fifing*
ham County, or lodge them in Savannah Goal,
fliall receive the above reward, or eight Dol
lars for each of them.
