IK EAST-FLORID A.
On or about tlie 12th November lafl, a
baud of armed men, aliotit 60 in number,
beaded by one Samuel Alexander , a citi
zen of Georgia, crofiVil to the south tide of
the river St. John’s and carried off from
the fiibfcriber’s plantation, THREE NE
GKOF.S, viz:—
Jack, about 50 years of nye, African
born.
Quaquo, 60 years of age, grey headed,
above the middle lize, has a firm and erecl
carriage for his years.
Beck, his daughter, about 30 years old.
‘The above Negroes were carried to St.
Mary’s river, and there seen on the Flori
da fide, above Trader’s Hill, in tlie pos
letTion of two men named Daniels and
Richards, who, it is believed, will carry
them, or have them run into Georgia or
Tennefiee. Three otiivr of my Negroes
were alio since carried to St. Mary’s river,
by Georg • Morrison, (fevtral years over
seer to John Mclntolb in this Province)
I and there taken from him by order of the
fiid Alexander, and lold to aCapt. Smith,
(iikewife a citizen of Georgia) wlio in com

rying them to l’ome part of Georgia. The
Negroes are—

•Ned, her grand-ion, 7 years of age, a
fine looking boy.
All the above Negroes lived many years
in the Bahama Illamis.
A reward of TWENTY DOLLARS
each, will be paid for securing the above
Negroes in any Jail of the United States,
so that I get them again, or if brought to
meat Femandina, Amelia-Illantl, all rea
sonable expences will all'o be paid.

ON the 16th November, 1813, by a *
party of armed men, under the command
ot a Col. Samuel Alexander, calling them- .
selves patriots, came to the Subscribers, ‘
and took off seven SLAV ES, valuable £
country horn, viz :
DAVE, a very fenfi'ole country born
fellow, somewhat over five feet high, if
queßioned will give a true account of all
the circmnßances, the names of the plun- ,
derers, &c.
FANNY, his fißer of a yellow com- :
plexion, about four feet nine or ten inches
high, very lenfible.
JERRY, a mulatto lad, foil to the a-
bove wench Fanny, about eighteen years
: of age, about five ieet. two inches high.
JOE, a mulatto lad, son to the above
: wench Fanny, about fiftecen years of
age, about four ieet, uine or ten inches ,

Is hereby given to Planters, that may
incline to engage in the cultivation of the
Sugar Cane ; that the Plantation, (now
tlie residence of W illiam Cooke,) called
CLARKE’S BLUFF, on the south side of
the Altamaha River, ten miles above Da
rien, is offered on Lease, on the mofl ad
vantageous terms; for such a term of
years, as may suit the planter.
This plantation, is a real objetft to a
Planter, if considerable force ; it having
upwards of 200 acres of land, opened,
that can be made fit for cultivation, with
little additional labour ; its soil is equal to
any on the Altamaha River , its situation
is as pleafanr, as any in the Southern coun
try ; and a ten years experience, proves
it to be Healthy. The situation is peculi
arly favorable to the raising of Rock; and
wbat-may lx? a consideration to a Planter,
is, that the bestead Fishery in the South
ern States, can he established, at litle ex
pense, at the bluff. It is unnecessary to
make a further description of its situation
and advantages, as it is veiy generally
known ; and none, it is presumed, would
attempt to treat for it, without having
previously examined it ; which is particu
larly the wish of the proprietor ; to such
persons, the terms will be made known by
making application to Joseph Miller, esq.
in Savannah. ‘
N. B. Clarke’s Bluff, is the standof the
Southern Mail Stage, which gives it all
the advantages, that a Country situation
