Robbery
IN EAST-FLORID A.
On or about the I 2th November last, a
band of armed men, about 60 in number,
headed by one Samuel Alexander, a citi
zen of Georgia, eroded to the foutli fide of
the river St. John’s and carried off troin
the fu hferiber’s plantation* IHREE NE
GROES, viz:—
Jack, about 30 years of age, African
born.

above tlie middle ftze, lias a firm and erect
carriage for bis years.
Beck , his daughter, about 30 years old.
Elie above Negroes were earned to St.
Mary’s river, and there leen on the Flori
da tide, above Trader’s Hill, in the pos
fetlion of two men named Daniels and
Richards, who, it is believed, will carry
them, or have them run into Georgia or
Tcnneilee. Three othwr of ny Negroes
were alio since carried to St. Mary’s river,
by George Morrison, (several years over
seer to John Mcjntofli in this Province)
and there taken from him by order of the
laid Alexander, and told to aCapt. Smith,
(likeftvite a citizen ofGeorgia) who in com
pany with one John Anions, intended car
rying them to lome part of Georgia. The
Negroes are—
Tom, about 45 years of nge, 5 feet xo
inches high, stout limbed, has loft part of
the middle finger of his right hand.
Sue , about 50 years of age, tall and
ereft, always walks with a flick.
hied, her grand-lbn, 7 years of age, a
fine looking boy.
All the abftve Negroes lived many years
in the Bahama Islands.
A reward of TWENTY DOLLARS
eacli, will be paid for securing the above
Negroes in any Jail of the United States,
so that I get them again, or if brought to
me at Fernandina, Amelia-Itland, all rea
i’onable expellees will alio he paid.

Robbery,
On St. John's River, Lajl- Florida.
ON the 16th November, ISI3, by a
party of arim-d men, under the command
ot a Col. Samuel Alexander, calling them
selves patriots, came to the Subscribers,
and took off seven SLAVES, valuable
country horn, viz :
DAVE, a very ftnfible country horn
fellow, (binewhat over five feet high, if
qyeftnned will give a true account of all
the circuniftances, the names of the plun
derer®, &c.
I FANNY, his sister of a yellow com
plexion, about four feet nine or ten inches
high, verv tenlible.
JERRY, a mulatto lad, son to the a
bove wench Fanny, about eighteen years
01 age, about five feet, two inches high.
JOE, a mulatto lad, son to the above
wench Fanny, about fifteeen years of
age, about four ket, nine or ten inches
high.
PHILIS, a mulatto girl, daughter to
the above wench Fanny, about twelve
years of age, about four feet four or five
inches high.
PEGGY, a Negro Girl daughter to
the above wench Fanny, 8 years
of age, and about four feet high, lias a
frnall tear near the hinder part of the
right fide of her head occalioned by fire.
A reword of 20 Dollars each,
Will be paid for securing (aid Negroes
in any part of the United States, so that
the Subscriber can get them, and all rea
sonable expences paid exclutive, if deliv
ered at St. Mary’s, Georgia, or at Fer
nandina, Ameli 1 Itland.
