TO THE PUBLIC.
KNOWING the great and proper interest felt
by the people of V irginia in the approach
ing Convention, the subscribers make the fallow
ing proposition: They have employed tho best
Stenographers to report the debates, which will
be published as rapidly as possible in the Whig.
As many persons are not in the habit of filing
their papers, and as when taken into their fami
lies they are liable to be destroyed, they propose
to file in this Office the papers containing the de
bates. for as many as desire it. The expense of
this will be apportioned by the annual price of the
paper ($.5) and the iength of time roqui ed to
publish the debates : for example, if three months
are required to publish the debates, the price of
the file will be $1 25 This, we imagine, no man
will hesitate to give for a complete Copy of ths
debates of o nvention. If subscribers desire their
copies bound, that* can be doue at a small addi
tional expense.
O 3 Letters (post pftid) addressed to us, will be
attended to; or jierKons wishing to subscribe, can
make known their desire through the members of
Convention. The subscription to be paid at the
