The will of tho American people ex

difficulties, and for this renewed oxpm-

views of-the principles and policy which
ought to be puistied by tho General Go

allude to'qjjew leading considerations con

The foreign policy adopted by our Go

present .constitution, ami very generally
pursued by successive administrations,
has been crowned with almost ctynplete
success, and lias elevated our character
among the nations of the earth. To do
justice to all, ami submit to wrong from
none, has been, during idy administration,
its governing maxim;, and sa happy, bus.
