' opper should lead you to the bottom of a CJor-

>f the great Republic; should a cool morning
'iempt you to the top of the grand pyramid, there
1 /oti will find cousin Jonathan astride the apex:
I the oasis of Sievah, the Dead Sea, the Chilian
mountains, Heloochistan and Tiinbuetoo, all knew
his visits and have heard of the glorv of his native
‘'cities. Should the .North West Passage ever be
discovert .1, a Yankee will probably be found there
settled on a stranded iceberg; and some fine day
we expect to hear that M. u’Abbadie has come up-
ion a camp of Yankee-Arab* picnicing at tin* sour
ces of the Nile. The. adventures, energies and
powers of our cousin-germnn grow quite alarming.

But M. Arcos, impatient to enjoy the triumph
of his self-love, procured an escort of 100 well
armed men, and set out on his journey with all his

contain most melancholy intelligence concerning
the unfortunate travelers. About halfway the car

! Sir—You wish me to inform you what 1 know of Dr.
j Osgeod’s India Cliolagoguo, or anti-bilious medicine. I
I do heliexc that if the value and efficacy of this modi-
I cine were generally known, Me Fever and Ague would
disappear in Michigan.
I procured u bottle in tin* spring of 1811. and laivo
good reason to believe that myself and family eecujied
the Ague the last season in consequence of its use.
Perhaps in no summer since the settlement of this fine
peninsula, has (lie fever and ague linen so prevalent as
the last. I leave recommended tl»i-» medicine iu numer
ous instances, and when the disease had become fixed
nnd bullied the skill of physicians ; and 1 have never
known it fail. It has universally produced the most
happy t*fleets, and J believe ii bus never been exceeded

climate. Yours, respectfully.
