TN introducing tide medicine to the people of the Uni-

mit the following statement of Dr. DeGraffenricd, its
discoverer and inventor;
The undersigned frankly states that he Ims prescribed
thi* medicine fi-r the last twenty-two years, in all forms
of Acute and Chronic Rheumatism, with a mere** un
paralleled in the annul*of medicine; and he lias no
hesitation in saying, that n is decidedly the most valua
ble remedy over yet discovered for the relief of this roost
which it fia" been used within the above
period, and in no single instance has it come to his
knowledge, of its fniling to effect a cure when perse
vered in. Many of the rases were from four to ten
years standing; and w hat may appear more remnrknble
arid extraordinary, is, that when the patient lias been
once relieved, the di^nse is permanently cured, remains
so, riot n solitary instance Inning been reported to him
of iti- return.
All lie would ask for tl i- remedy i a fair and impar
tial and patient trial, fur the results lie entertain* no np.
1 I'p to th»* time of this discovery, ihe undersigned hud
well studied the origin, procio•. and charnctcrof this
di'..i .-.and is well assured, had consulted every author
on it. treatment, who had written or been translated in
to tli«* Knglisli language, and had iraed all the remedies
of any notoriety then in vogue with the prof -ion, with
however, very rarely any relief to poor suffering hu
