March, 4th, 1841. 4tf BROUGHT TO JAIL ON the 22d day of March, 1841, in the county of Muscogee, a negro man who calls himself Hen ry Elam, and wffio says that he is a free man, and was bound to a man by the name of German or Gilbert Stokes, at the age of 5 years, who lives in Rocking ham county, N. C. He also states that he was robbed of ail his money and papers in the slate or South Car olina. The said n* gro is about 21 years of a<*e, weighing about 145 or 150 pounds ; yellow complec ted, no sears or maras visible on him ; he is about 5 feet Bor 9 inches high.
