sea!, and for the better svciring the said Seymour
Catching* in the payment of a written promissory
note tfcere.in described, bearing date on the 27th day
February, eighteen hundred and forty-live, whereby
the said Philander Thompson and your petitioner for
value received promised to pay John Bail or order

cents, on demand ; And tor the better securing the

Thompson bargained, sold, and conveyed by said
