expeditions route. The Company have five
new STEAM BOATS, commanded by first

The J. Stone is a side w heel Boat, low pres
sure engine, carries 7(111 hales of cotton, and
runs regularly three times a week, between
Savannah and Darien. The Chieftain is aside
| wheel Boat, and carries 800 or 600 hales ot
cotton, runs regularly between Darien and
Charleston, and between Savannah <fc Charles
ton. The Excel, Superior and J. Goddard, run
regularly between Darien and Macon, towing
two boats each. One of them will leave Dari
en regularly every three days—the usual time
of passage up is five or six days.
This line is connected with a line of seven
packets running regularly between New York
and Darien. Any good* or produrc shipped to
their amnia, or ordered to be shipped by their
’ line, wdj he forwarded with despatch. The
I company, thankful for the patronage they have
received, have Increased their means of con
veyance largely, and pledge themselves to use
every exrllon to fariltate the interests of those
who may ship liy their lino.
Their are also a line of schooners running
| between Charleston nnd Darien, to the Com
patty'a agents in each place.
