THE Macon Steamboat Company take this
method of informing the Merchants of the
interior of Georgia, and the public generally,
that their line of Boats arc m full operation,
and solicit their patronage: believing that
good, forwarded by way of Darien, is the most
expeditions route. The Company have five
new STEAM BOATS, commanded by first
rate Captains, vir:

Also, sixteen first rate TOW BOATS, built
expressly for the navigation of Alatamalia und
Ocumulgcc Rivers.
Ttie J. Slone is a side wheel Boal, low pres
sure engine, earries 700 bales of cotton, and
run. regularly three times a week, between
S.ivjnnah and Darien, The Chieftain is aside
! wheel Boat, and carries SOU or tit SI bales ol
| cotton, runa regularly between Darien and
1 Charleston, and bet ween Savannah A Charles
| ion. The Excel, Superior and J. Goddard, run
rrgularly between Darien and Macon, towing
two boats each. One of them will leave Dari
en regularly every three days—the usual time
of passage up is five or six days.
This line is connected with a line of seven
packets running regularly between New York
mid Darien. Any goods or produce shipped to
their agents, orordcred to he shipped by their
line, will lie forwarded with despatch. The
company, thankful for the patronage they hare
received, have increased their means of con
veyance largely, and pledge themselves to ue
every exrtion to fnoiltate the interests of those
who may ship by their line.
Their are also a line of schooners running
between Charleston and Darien, to the Com
pany's agents in each place.
