that their line of Boats are in full operation,
• I solicit their patronage: believing that
goods forwarded by way of Darien, is the most
expeditions route. The Company hnve five
new STEAM’ BOATS, commanded by first
rate Captains, vi/.:

Also, sixteen first rate TOW BOATS, built
expressly for the navigation of Alatiunaha and
Ocamulgee Rivers.
The .I. Stone is n side wheel Boat, low prt
sure engine, carries 7tK) bales of cotton, and
runs regularly three times a week, between
Savannah and Darien. The Chieftain is n side
w heel Float, und carries 500 or (MtO bales ot
cotton, runs regularly between Darien and
Charleston, and between Savannah & Charles
ton. The Excel, Superior and J. Goddard, run
regularly between Darien and Macon, towing
two bouls each. One of them will leave Dari
en regulnrly every three days—the usual time

This line is connected with a line of seven
packets running regularly between New York
and Darien. Any goods or produce shipped to
their agents, or ordered to he shipper! by their
line, will be forwarded with despatch. The
company, thankful for the patronage they have
received, have increased their meant of con
veyance hugely, nod pledge themselves to use
every exrtion to faeiltnte the interests of those
who may ship by their line.
Their are also a line of schooners running
t between Charleston and Darien, to the Com
puny's agents in each place.

pasted the 96th day of December, 1838 having met,
under the Proclamation ofthe Governor, on Monday
the 6th day of May, 1830, propose a# ibe final remit
of their deliberations, the following to be amendments
: to the Conailution of the Suite of Georgia, and pre
; sent the s*ine to his Excellency the Governor of the
| Slat", that publicity may be given to said alterations
! and amendments, according to the sixth section of
! the Act under which the Convention assembled :
AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA.
The House of Representative* shall be composed
of member! from ell the counties which notar tt re or
hereafter may be included within this State, accord
ing to their respective number of free whue person*,

wish to contract for the delivery’ of large quanti
ties of yellow pine Lumber at their wharf, w here
the draft of water, and the facililteb for loading are
as good as nt any place in the immediate vicinity of
Darien.
They also, wish to contract for a supoly of SAW
LOGS—about four hundred thousand feet will be
required monthly. Contracts for this amount, or
less, will bo given to accommodate applicants.

.HILL— consisting of mortars, pestle*, shafts,
fanning mills, screens, two pair of very large mill
