OF THE STATE OF OKOUGM.

as now by law provided. Each county shall be en
titled to one member. Each county having a repre
sentative imputation, as u*ove specified, of six thou
sand fversons, shall be r nil tied to one additional mem
ber ; and each county having such repre* ntative
pojMll.it ion of twelve thousand persons ; shall be en
titled to two additional members; but no county
shall have more than three members.
The number of members of which the House of
Representatives u ill Iw composed, according to the
aforesaid ratio, and the lo fc i census, shall not hereaf
ter bo increased, except when anew county is crea
ted ; and it ahull be. the duty of the L*gi*lanire, at
their s-.tMion to be hidden ii'jxt after the enumeration

The /.Slone is a side wheel Boat, low pre*-
*tir'rngitte, carries ?<>i bule* of cotton, and
runs regularly time times a week, between
S.,taiintih and Darien. The Chießatn is aside
wheel Boat, Mid carries 590 or BtXt hales ot
cotton, runs regularly between Darien and
Charleston, and between Savannah & Charles
ton. The Exeel, Superior and J. Goddard, run
regularly between Darien and Macon, towing
two lion's each. One of them will leave I)ari
en regularly every three tlays—the usual time
of passage up is five or six days.
This line is connected with a lin<* of seven
packet* running regularly between New York
and Darien. Any good* or produce shipped to
their agents, or ordered to be shipped by their
line, w ill be forwarded with despatch. The
company, thankful for the patronage they Knve
received, have increased their mean* of con
veyance largely, and pledge thcinaelveslo use
every exrtiott to faeiltute the interests of those
who may ship by their line.
Their are also a line of schooners running
between Charleston and Darien, to the Com
pany's agents in each place.

Bir—A most wonderful cure has lutely been effect
ed, through the virtues of Dr. Goe ick’s Sonative, in
the case of an elderly gentleman, who was far gone
and wasted away in Consumption, and considered
past recovery hy his fumily man. He is now, com
paratively speaking, a well man. I saw him myself
a few- days since, in company with his wife, starting
on a journey to the western part of this State. H*

his recovery to health solely to the astonishing vir
