Also, sixteen first rate TOW UOATS, built i
expressly for the navigation of Alatomaha and |
Ocuinulge* Rivers.
The J. Stone is a side wheel Boat, low pres
sure engine, curries 7‘JO bales of cofon, and
runs regularly three times a week between ,
Savannah and Darien. The Cbief iin Is aside .
wheel Coat, and carries 500 or (kw bales ol j
cotton, runs regularly between Darien and
Charleston, and between Savannah & Charles
ton. The Excel, Superior and J. Goddard, run j
regularly between Darien and Macon, towing :
two boa's each. One of them will leuve Dari
en regularly every three days—the usual time .
of passage up is five or six days.
This line is connectel with a line of seven I
packet* ruunir.ff regularly between N< w York !
and Darien. Any goods or produce shipped to
their agems, orofdered to ed by tbeii
line, will be forwarded with despatch. Tin
! ermpanv, thankful for tbe patronage they have
received, have increased their means of con
veyance largely, and pledge themselves to two .
