ber from North Carolina offered a resolution to

the qualifications of delegates. Judge Cone of your
State, ofleied a substitute to this, whkb, together
with the amendments, propositions and counter-
propositions, debates, cries of question, order, dtc.,
and the confusion, some standing, some sitting,
some crying no, no, ic., aid go on, in all parts ot
the house, presented a picture which might well
challenge the power* of Hogarth. It is the fint
ivid glance 1 ever had at the Jacobin clubs, and
for the last twenty-four hours, and will likely reach
fruition in the next two.

Rumor say* that the treaty with Mexico has
