Ist. Applicants for examination shall be
required to write ands r, sent a thesis on some

Dean on or before each anneal meeting of the
board.
2d. The board will require of each candi
date a competent knowledge of Chemistry,
Anatomy, Materia, Mcdica, Physiology, Sur
gery, Midwifery, and the Theory and Practice
of Medicine, and w ill not grant a license to
any candidate who is materially deficient in
any of those branches.
3d In future, applicants having Diplomas,
shall he expectr J, to Si nd them to this Board
for examination, and that in no ease sliuli a
tcmpu'.iry or permauent license be granted up
on the testimony of a member of this bcurd
nr any other individual, without the Diplo
ma.
“4th. Arc-examination will he granted by
the board at the same session to rejected ap
plicants on the Sole condition, that the second
examination, be held publicly, and the ques
tions and answers recorded on the minutes.”

absent, when his presents is required before

Lie protection of the Frontiers of
the State of Georgia, in the year, one
thousand seven hundred ninety-two,
three and four, are hereby notified,
that Congress has passed a law, and
has appropriated a sum of money,
agreeably to tae estimates of tlie
amount due, mad by C'apt. Constant
Freeman, to pav and sutisiy litem
for those services, the payments to
be made under the direction of the
Secretary ol War. In pursuance of
which, the Secretary of War, lias ap
pointed me the Ag nt of the gov. rn
tneut, to settle and pay off those
claims.—All persons interested as
aforesaid, are requested to have
their discharges from the proper of
ficers and vouchers, in readiness fur
settlement I shall attend at mj
office, in tlie City of Augusta, in the
months of April and May, to receive
all amounts that may he presented
within tlie vicinity of that place, af
ter which, I shall visit tiie different
counties in the State, giving special
notice of the same, so as to afford
every facility to the claimants the
opportunity to adjust and setllo their
claims, with convenience to them
selves.
