At a meeting of the medical staff, other offices
and employees ol the State Lunatic Afyluiu, to
take into consideration the death of Dr (J. li
lia:-s. 2ud Assistant Physician, Dr- Powell v ..
called to the chair and Col. F G. Grieve rcqiii sr-.-d
lo act as Secretary. The following resolutions
were proposed and unanimously adopted:
Resolved 1st. In the decease of Dr. C II.
linos, the iusiitutiou has lost a faithful ai.d c m; -
tent officer, his wife aud cbiidieu a devoted hus
band and father, his brother officers a polished ai;d
Christian companion, and the profession a bright
ornament.
Resolved 2nd That we tender to his bereaved
family our sincere condolence. Feeling that n
wo ds of o rs can dissipate the shadow upon th
hearthstone, we leave them lu the hands of Di
vine Providence, knowing- that He will pour tint
halm upon their wounds which cannot be h i. I
upon eaitli bus can only be given by the hand of
Omnipotence.
