Sea IsiAsn.—There was Blight inquiry, buyers
holding off in absence of orders. All quotations are
nominal. Sales, 4 bags at 65c, and 38 at —; total, 42
bags.
The receipts to-day amount to 3,586 bales.
Financial.—Gold, buying at 133‘f; selling at 136;
New York exchange buying at Jf to Jfc off; selling
at ‘f to If $ ct off Sterling bills in demand at
1 45*.
Bacon.—The demand for bacon has continued good
at high figures caused altogether by a great scarcity in
the market Many of our dealers are declining to
buy, except to fill orders, awaiting the decline to come
when new meats are thrown on the market We
quote shoulders at 14>f@15Jfc, rib sides at 17
@17)fc, and clear ribbed at 18)f@18>ifc- There
are few clear sides offering, and priceB are
nominal at 18>f@18?fc. Hams are in large stock,
at 10@18c according to quality. Breakfast bacon
is quiet with a downward tendency, at 19(2 20c. Dry
salted meats are in better demand. We quote shoul

Grain.—The stock of Georgia and Tennessee old
corn is very light and demand only for home
consumption. New corn is coming* in very
slowly and in small lots—demand light. We
quote Georgia com $1 10 from depot, and scarce;
Tennessee, $1 10(2)1 12#, and small arriva’s—old
corn from store, wholesale, $1 25. There has been
no change in oats this week ; from depot 85(5)90; from
store, $1 00.
Freights.—Foreign quiet. By sail to Liverpool 7-16
on uplands. Timber nominal, offering at 36 shil
lings for hewn for Liverpool, 38 shillings to Queens
town for orders. Coastwise: To New York, # of a
cent ^ ft on uplands; domestics, $1 00 ^ bale; rice,
$2 50. By steam to Philadelphia, #c ^ lb on uplands;
domestics, 75. To Baltimore by steam, #; by sail, nom
inal; by steam to Liverpool Id on upland, on sea island
