Bacon,—The light stock reported in our last has been greatly reduced by an active demand at good figures for country orders—anticipating an early de cline in prices; we note no speculations in this article. We quote shoulders at 14J4<ffil5c, rib sides at 17 fg>17)£c, and clear ribbed at 18)4'@18%c. There are few clear sides offering, and prices are nominal at 18X(ail8%c. Hams are in large stock, at I0ra>18c according to quality. Breakfast bacon is quiet, with a. downward tendency, at 19@20c. Dry salted meats are in better demand. We quote shoul ders at 13(313 )4c; short clear sides, 17@173£c; short ribbed, 16©16)£c; bellies, 15>$@16J£c, and Stratford cntatlCc. .a* .. Flour.—No change since our last report. Stock on the market large; demand light. Feeling in Northern brands since our last report is somewhat better. Both were towed out of Boston by the same tug. and both arrived in Smyrna. Nov 6, the brig beating the bark 4 hours. The New York pilot boat, J W El well, which arrived at Newport, 13th iu6t, having in tow the Pollock Rip Lightboat, fell in with the latter at 2 A- M. 10th, in bit 39:51. Ion 70;20, the wind at the time blowiuO a gale from the westward. Hooked on to her, but soon par ted hawser.
