Charleston, December 20.—Rice.—There was
a good business done in this grain at steady
rates. Sales 314) tierces clean Carolina. We

uv$©6?$c-. prime nominal Carolina rough rice
may b<* quoted at SI 10©1 40 per bushel for in
land. Seacoast is nomiual in the absence of re
ported sales.
Naval Stores.—The receipts were 310 casks
spirits turpentine and 1,953 bb!s rosin. The
market for rosins was firm. Sales about 1,200
bbls. at 51 30 for strained and good strained
(C atid Dk ?1 35 for No. 2 (E). $1 45 for extra
No. 2 (F>. $1 80 for low No. 1 (G), $2 25 for No. 1
(H), S3 25 for extra No, 1 (I). S4 for low pale
(K), S4 50 for pale (M). $4 75 for extra pale
(N). A choice lot of extra pale and window
glass was sold at $5 per bbl. Spirits turpenthu
is sternly: sales lOJ casks at 38c. per gallon

Wilmington. December 20.—Spirits Turpen
tine.—The market was steady at 38c. per gal
lon for regular package, with sales reported
of 220 casks at that price.
Rosin.—The market was firm at $1 20 for
strained and good strained. We hear of sales
of 1,000 bbls. A rosin at SI 05, and 1,000 do.
good stramed at SI 20 per bbl.
Crude Turpentine.—Market quoted steady
at S« (»5©2 65 for hard and yellow dip, with
