DIAMOND SPECTACLES.
T HESE Spectacles are manufactured from
“MINUTE CRYSTAL PEBBLES” melted
together, and are called DIAMOND on account
of their hardness and brilliancy.
Having been tested with the polariscope, the
diamond lenses have been found to admit fif
teen per cent, less heated rays than any other
Jpebble. They are ground with great scientific
accuracy, are free from chromatic aberra
tions, and produce a brightness and distinctness
of vision not before attained in spectacles.
Manufactured by the Spencer Optical Manu
facturing Company, New York.

Printing and finding.
DESIRE to bring prominently to notice the Job Printing and Book
Binding Departments of the “SAVANNAH MORNING NEWS.”
And it may not be inappropriate here to remark, that the Morning
News Establishment is the largest in the Southern States, giving
employment the year round to nearly one hundred hands. Our facili-
ties for executing work of every description are large and extensive;
our machinery is ample and of the most improved pattern.
We purchase stock for our various departments direct from the
manufacturers, thereby saving to our patrons the profits of the dealers,
cr o>\> and enabling us to compete successfully with the largest establishments
of the North.
Employing a large corps of skilled workmen, and giving the busi
ness our personal supervision, we feel confident in promising our patrons entire satis
faction.
We would also call the attention of business men to the following Price List, and
urge upon them the importance of patronizing home industry.
The wants of every city are manufactories. Upon them its growth and prosperity
largely depends But it is impossible for the manufacturing interests of any city, or the
city itself, to thrive unless the citizens support their home industries. Money thus spent
stays at home, and contributes to the support of a large class of your fellow citizens and
their families, who in turn support business men.

The foregoing prices are for plain printing, but on first-class material. When linen
paper, fancy heads or colored inks are wanted the price will be increased.
We carry a large and varied stock of the very best Letter and Note papers, embrac
ing also the finest Linen and Bond papers.
Letter Heads, Note Heads, Bill Heads and Envelopes may be termed the “ catch
penny” of the printing business. The country is flooded with samples informing
business men that they can get “ 1,000 Note Heads like this sample for £2.50.”
Certainly this may be done, but the object is to secure other orders, and eventually
the customer finds he lias “ paid dear for his whistle.”
By measurement it will be found that our Note and Letter Heads are larger than
those usually made by other establishments.
o
NOTE CIRCULARS.
The price of Circulars are regulated by the quantity and amount of composition.
Hence it is almost impossible to give a correct scale of prices. Though the price of
Commercial Note Heads is a fair criterion to estimate Circulars by.
The same rule holds as to Letter Circulars and Hand Bills, and in order to give
a correct estimate for either, copy should be seen, size and quantity known by the
printer.

MISCELLANEOUS PRINTING.
There is a large amount of printed matter used by merchants, manufacturers and
business men generally for which it would be impossible for us to give a standard price,
such as
Bills of Lading, Invoices, Bills of Exchange,
Weight Lists, Shipping Books,
Order Books, Etc., Etc., Etc.
For Steamboat and Steamship Agents: Freight Lists, Manifests, Bill Heads, Ship
ping Receipts, Berth Lists, Pursers’ Requisitions, etc.
For Lumbermen and Turpentine Distillers: Statements, Account Sales, Specifica
tions, Bills of Lading, Order Books, etc.
Doing a large and extensive business with all classes of business men, we are
thoroughly posted as to their wants, and we will cheerfully furnish samples, estimates
or designs for any class of work desired.
