WEEKLY REPORT.

Wshhal Remarks.— Very little interest
. s been manifested in the general market
rinrine the past week, ami quite a dull feel
. prevailed. Buyers are only purchasing
,uch quantities as current wants may ro
onire, and rarely do they exceed jobbing
hmits, even it they do come trom sections of
the interior which usually at this period
0 t the year lay >u full stock.
The movement of merchandise, therefore,
se a whole, was small, and was confined
principally to grain, provisions and groceries.
The feeling in the general market, however,
was much better, and a stronger tone existed
in most all the staple articles, though there
tt erc with hut few exceptions no changes in
values. The most notable was the heavy ad
vance in coffees, and also oils. Georgia and
Florida syrups were scarcer, which had
strengthened prices, and they were advanced
Jc _ Sugars continued weak in
sympathy with Northern markets,
but were not quotably lower. There was an
unsettled outlook in commercial affairs. The
money market continues unchanged and the
security market very quiet. The change* in
pru os of the different commodities that have
occurred during last week along with the
Conditions of the markets are beat illustrated
in the following appended reviews:
h aval Storks.—The continued large re
reinis of spirits turpentine during the week
Inti, had a very weakening effect on prices,
Which have steadily declined. There was a
prett.v fair inquiry throughout the week and
(onsulerable stock changed hands, buyers as
a rule having things entirely their own way.
At, the close ot the market to-day prices were
,fi fully lfc£c„ with au easier tendency. The
sales for the week were about ".,1)00 casks. Ro
sin—The market was very dud for the entire
week, and prices declined in the better grades
as well as in strained to good strained. The
pric s of pales are lower than ever known
before. The sales for the week were about
r 000 barrels. Elsewhere will be found a table
,Y receipts and exports from the opening of
ih • season to date, and for the ssme time last
ear. slio ing the stocks on lined and on ship
board not cleared, together with the oilicial
closing quotations,
Rice.—There was a good demand during
last week and a fair business doing. Prices
lnve remained steady and unchanged. The
to ! a! sale? were about i.r.00 barrels on the
basis ofthe followingquotations:

Fancy. 6 <3‘*
Rough—
Country lots GO® 80

Cotton. —There was a dull and indifferent
feeling pervading the market during lust
week. Buyers were generally offering lower
prices than the current quotations, while
holders, on t.in other hand, were very firm in
maintaining them as a rule, and were not
pushing business. The offering stock is ex
ceedingly light, and factors have no difficulty
in carrying Jt. The situation in the lead
in? markets continues unchanged. There
has been little or no reaction taking place at
any point and prices have steadily fallen off.
In this market the middling grades were re
duced 1-lGc. The, sales for the week were
oalv 886 bales. The following are the official
spot quotari ms of the Gottou Exchange:
Good middling -.9!*
Middling 8 H-16
Low middling 8 8- 6

Mr Mind. —'The receipts for the past week
by factors were 20 bags. The exports were
488 bag*, leaving the stock on hand at 3,236
bags. The sales during the week foot up 683
bags. There was a pretty fair inquiry on an
easier market, and the hulk of the sales aver
aged about 20c. for medium line, still values
were sotnetvb it irregular, hut are not quota
hlv lower. Wc quote:
