Cohen, proprietor of the universally celebrated lotion for the cure of Chronic and Infla matory Rheumatism. Sprains, Lumbago, Pains and Swellings in the Joints, &c., known as I ohen’s Rheumatic Embrocation, begs respectfully to refer all persons suffering from these diseases to the as thousands 6f cures that his preparation fias accom .plishcd, to the numerous strange gnd highly '“respectable testimonials which have, from time to time, been published to that effect in New York and othgr fflaces. So certain and searching is this Liniment in its operations, even in cases of long standing, and of an obstinate nature, that it has never been known to fail. The following letters are selected from hundreds of others of a like de scription. It wi Ibe proper that all persons using the Liniment see that it is accompanied with the signature of the proprietor in his own hand writing. Since the introduction of this remedy to the public, various empirics have been palmed upon the coun try and Lotions, and Liniments, and “Inf|il'iole Rheumatic Mixtures,” all of which be ing S compound of ignorant quacks, are ca'culated, more or ,'ess, to injure the system rather than re move any complaint. In proof of the estimation in which the Embrocation is held by respectable men in the medical profession, as well as by the thousands of persons who have been effcctua ly cured pf Rheumatism, the subscriber has subjoined leltejf from a few who are well and popularly known ,tu the entire society in New York, and whose opinions and professional judgments are universally esteemed. • M. ACADEMY OF RICHMOND COUNTY. fllHt I mstees of this institution are happy to JL have it in thek power to state, that both the principal Academy in Augusta, and the branch at Summerville, have resumed their exercises, under the management of Teachers who have the full confidence of the Trustees, and who, they are sa tisfied, are fully entitled to that of the public. Mr. Ernenputsch, the Rector of the Academy, already favorably known to the community, has’ charge ©f the Classical department and all the branches of education requisite for admission to our best Colleges. His attainments as a scholar and success in imparting useful knowledge, emi nently qualify him for the discharge of”the im portant duties of his station. Mr, Ring, the principal English Teacher, re cently engaged by the Board, comes with the high est recommenda'ions as to character, talents, lite rary attainments and skill in teaching, and the Trustees feel assured that he will sustain the re putation which led to his selection. The branch of the Academy at Summerville is under the immediate management of Mr. Frank lin George, a gentleman of experience in teach ing, and highly recommended. The advantage of the location of this branch of the Academy in one of the most healthful neighborhoods in the State, and sufficiently remote from the unfavorable in fluence of a crowded town, are too well known to need comment. On the whole, the Board confidently recommend to the public the principal Academy and the Branch at Summerville, as being on a better footing than I * be y have heretofore been, and promising great i usefulness to those who ma,y avail therpselvei of the advantages which they offer.
