Havana Sugars continue extrenuly dull at for
mer prices. I
Molasses —The Levee has rather I better supply,
and "ales hav® been light during the aist three days,
though the slight advance noticed ii bur Wednes
day's report is maintained, and we Ijli quote at 22
a 23c per gal for bbls in good order AVe have no
new t an son Plantation to in dice.
Flour —The rather heavy receipt for the three
days cmoraced in our last report har ;>een succeed
ed by very moderate supplies, and fair demand
for shipment, in addition to the usu: ;ij: le tor con
sumption, lias enabled holders, generally, to dispose
of the article quite readily at $5 foi superfine, at
which price most of the sales since hiesday have
been made, though a fraction less vv s; yielded to in
one or two instances. The quantity vaken for ex
port has been about 5000 bbls, which together with
tne ordinary demand for consurnptio .'and the ship
ment of some parcels to the north, c j;owners’ ac -
count, has left the market with aver limited stock.
There seems, however, to be little I probability of
an enhancement of prices, as furthe supplies may
be looked for soon, and an advance in the rates
w'ould have the effect to stop the d mand for ex
port, which by the way, has already ri a great de
gree su js dcd. We place our quota ions at $6 for
super ne.
Baron —We have no improvemer to notice in
the various descriptions of this arti e. Transac
tions are confined almost exclusively to small par
cels for tie consumption of the city nd neighbor
hood, and it is only for these that our notations can
be obtained. Any considerable lots c uld be bought
at a material ieduction, but the den and does not
seem to extend beyond a meie reta 1 trade. We
slightly reduce our figures for canvas ed hams, and
now quote them at 9 a 9.* c—uncan vv ;«;ed do 8 a 9
sides 5 a 7—shoulders 4 a 5. i
Grain —The receipts of shelled < >rn in sacks,
have been very mod -rate during the ! st three days,
and the unfavorable stale of the wes her has pre
vented any transactions of importarl’i?. We still
quote at 4Sc per bushel. I
Bagging and Bale Hope —A furt or supply of
both article* has been received since ciur last, and
we now quote [lagging at 2Sc, and I ipe a 9c,
when sold together. The demand is >r;ly limited.
Whiskey — Hie market has a furt eir supply of
some 700 to 800 bbls within the na»t Icjw days, and
we now quote Cincinnati rectilied at 33 a 33c per
gallon, which is a further decline.
Columbus, I 'bruary 12,
Cotton has come in slowly during m past week,
and commands from sto 6 }c per lb. sales of
choi-e lots have been effected at 7c. Uur river is
now in ti r e boating order, and holder ;are shipping

Cotton —The supply during the w k has been
limited, and tiie sales, also ; and prk s, since the
receipt of the late accounts from Livi pool to Pec.

them at sto 7 extremes —principal s ' les at 6 to 7.

A real blessing to mothers
CELEBRATED SOOTHING
f or children tutting their Teeth. —This
infallule remedy has preserved hundreds of chi -
dren, when thought past recovery, from convul
sions. As soon as the Syrup is rubbed on the
gums, the child will recover. The preparation is
>o innocent, so efficacious and sc pleasant, that no
child will refuse to let its gums be rubbed with it.
' lien infants are at the age of four months, though
there is no appearance of teeth, one bottle of the
Syrup should be used on the gums, to open the
pores. Parents should never be without the Syrup
in the nursery- where there are y-oung children ; for
if a child wakes in the night with pain in the gums,
the Syrup immediately gives ease, by opening the
pores :;nd healing the gums; thereby preventing
convulsions, fevers, itc. Sold only at Dr. Wm.
Evans' Medical Office, 100 Chatham street, New
\ ork, where the Doctor maybe consulted on all
diseases of children.
PROOF POSITIVE OF THE EFFICACY OF
Dr. EVANS' SOOTHING SYRUP.—To the Agent
of Dr. Evans' Soothing Syrup: Dear Sir—i'he
'real benefit afforded to my suffering infant by
-our Soothing Syrup, in a case of protracted and

ent how essential an early- application of such an
1 valuable medicine is to relieve infant misery and
aituie. Aly in taut, when teething, experienced
iuch acute sufferings, that it was attacked with
convulsions, and my wife and family supposed that
death would soon release the babe from anguish,
till we procured a bottle of your Syrnp ; which as
soon as applied to the gums, a wonderful change
was produced, and after a few applications the
child displayed obvious relief, and by continuing in
Us use, 1 am glad to inform you the child has com

complaint has since occurred ; the teeth are ema
