AN ACT, to amend an act, entitled ‘an act to in corporate Il;e Augusta and Waynesboro’ Rail Road, assented to 3 st December, 1838. Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the > t ;te of Georgia, in General Assemble met —And it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, that any five of tlie Commis sioners,or their successors, appointed by tlie tenth section of the aforesaid act, shah, and they are hereby declared to be, competent to form a quorum and to perform any or all the duties and services inquired and authorised by the said a«r. f'cc. 2. And be it further enacted, by the author ity aforesaid, I hat so so«n as the sum of three hui d.od thousand dollars shah have I ecu subscri bed, the aforesaid Com miss oners shall be authori sed to appoint a suitable place for the meeting of he stockholders of said company, in terms of the fifth section ff the aforesaid ac*. Sec, 3. And he it furtln r enacted by the author ity aforesaie, 'That the aforesaid Kail Road sha 1 be commenced at the point of its conjunction with the Central Road, or any other point that maybe determined on by the CommisMoners, with the Central Rail Road, ere three years from the passage of this amended act—and hat no other Rail Road shall be made, to run from the city of Augusta, or Horn the junction of this Rai Road with the Cen tral Rail Road, and in the same direction, within 20 mi es of said Road, without tlie assent of said Company. 9ec. 4. And be it fuither enacted. That the loth section of the aforesaid act, be, and the same is hereby repealed.
