JOHN TRAMEL, mar 3 _ w2t DR. JAYNE’S OLEAGINOUS HAIR TONIC. Copy of a letter from Dr. S. S. Fitch, dated Philadelphia, May 10, 1838. DR. JAYNE —Dear Sir, —1 feel that I can hardly say enough to you in favor of Jayne's Oleaginous Hair Tonic, prepared by you. My hair had been falling off' about two year's, and had become very thin, threatening speedy baldness, when I commenced using this remedy. In about one week, it ceased to fall off. 1 have used it now about three months, and have as full and thick a head of hair as I can possibly desire. 1 have recommended its use to a number of my friends, who all speak well of it. If faithfully employed, 1 have no doubt of its general success. 1 may add that before using the Tonic, I had iried almost all the various articles employed for the hair, such as thc Macassar Oil, all the different preparations of Bear’s Oil, Vegetable Hair Oil, &c. &c., without experiencing much, if any, benefit. Respectfully yours, S. S. Fitch, No. 172 Chesnut street. (J"/"Before Dr. Fitch used this Tonic Ins ha r be gan to be gray, but since then there is not a gray hair to be found ou his head. Philadelphia, May 11, 1838. Dr. Jayne—Dear Sir, —1 cheerfully and with pleasure submit the following to you, with the liberty of your making it public, should you have the desire: —For several months past my hair had been rapidly falling off, so much so indeed that by passing my lingers lightly through it, 1 could obtain a quantity in my hand. 1 had tried all the fash ionable Oils of the day, without having received the slightest sensible benefit. The only resource that seemed left to me, was to have my head shav ed and wear a wig. Having, through a friend who had profitted by its use, heard of the remarkable cures effected by a nc’s Oleaginous Hair Tonic, sold by you, I was induced, as a dernier resort, to try it. 1 have used two bottles, and am pleased to say, that after a few applications, my hair ceased entirely from coming out, the young hair made its appearance in great abundance, and that now I have a lino, luxuriant growth, and believe it to be the best remedy ever yet discovered. A fair trial will be its best recommendation. Independently of its virtues as a restorative and preventive, it imparts to the hair a fine healthy, glossy appear ance, rendering it soft and flexible, which will make it an invaluable acquisition for the toilet of every one at all desirous of beautifying that great est of adornments of the face—the hair. Returning my most sincere thanks for saving me from premature baldness, by the use of thc above Tonic, I am, dear Sir, your obedient servant, L. Rinaldo Sank, No. 108 Walnut st. Copy of a letter from the Rev. C. C. Park, Pastor of the Baptist Church at Haddonfield, N. J. Haddonfield, N. J., Feb. 12, 1839. Dr. D Jayne,—Sir—l take pleasure in inform ing you that the bottle of Jayne’s Hair Tonic, which 1 obtained of you last October, has proved most satisfactory and successful. My hair had for a long time been exceedingly thin. But for two or three years past it had so fallen out that my head had become almost entirely bald. I was un der the necessity of concealing the baldness by combing the hair on the sides over it. But now, after using about half of a buttle of the “ Tonic,” I have as luxuriant growth of hair as I ever had. C. C. Park. This valuable remedy for the growth, preserva tion, and restoration of the Hair,.can be obtained wholesale and retail, from WILLIAM K. KITCHEN, jan IS —law3m Sole Agent for Augusta. MULES ASTRAY. PEDIGREE. J. R. H. Acklin, Esq. of Huntsville, Alabama, certifies a ; follows : —• Tom Tunstali was foaled j mine on the 29th May, 1831. His dam was High- I land Mary and her dam a full-blooded Archie marc; tfie sire of Highland Mary was old PacolcL Tom Tunstali was sired by o l Pacific, and he by old Sir Archie. This is as far as lam able to go, tho’ I am satisfied Tom Tunstali has descended from as good a stock as any horse in the United States.— lie was a race horse of the first order, but 1 lear will never be able to make a first rate race again, owing to his leg; it was injured when a lljree year old, in training, ns I believe. By addressing Har dy Cryer, Gallatin, Tennessee, you can get a full pedigree of the dam of Tom Tunstali.” The same Mr. Hardy Cryer certifies thus: —“ Highland Mary combined as many or more rich crosses of thorough ’ breds than any mare ever raised in Tennessee. — ! She was got by the noted horse Pacolet, the son of imported Citizen ; her dam Roscy Carey by Sir Archie; grand-dam Sally Jones by the imported horse Traveller, called Big. Ben or Charlemaine, (son of O’Kclley’s Eclipse, and one of the purest importations of the last century;) great grand-dam by the imported horse Wrangler, great-great-grand dam O’Possum by imported Shark; great-great great-grand-dam by the celebrated American qnai ter race horse, Goode’s old Twigg; great-great great-great-graud-dam by imported Fearnaught; great-great-great-great-great-grand-dam by Lee’s old Mark Anthony outof a mare by imported Mou kcy.” Ou the sire’s side it is deemed unnecessary to trace beyond Sir An hie. It is presumed none will require a purer or better attested pedegree!— Ts farther recommendation be wanted, call and see Tom.
