THE subscribers having been appointed special
agents for the sale of Gallighan’s Fever and

terms equally as favorable as they can be obtained
of the proprietors
Gallighan’s Pills, though useful jfor all diseases
which originate in a superabundant collection of
bile in the stomach, arc more partidalarly intended
for Fever and Ague, in the first plaj-e they cleanse,
strengthen and give tone to the stojiach and bow
els, and create a new and healthy action through
out the system. They produce a natural and per
manent appetite; they defend the system against
new or subsequent attacks of lh' disease; t ie}
assist the various operations ot natUfe by cleansing
the system of all vitiated, corrupt ai ji acrid humors,
and thus invigorate and reanimate t ;e whoief.ame.
Possessing a purgative quality, the.,‘cannot remain
in the bowels to pioduce such otjier diseases as
often follow the injudicious treatment of the lever
and ague. They are composed entirely of vegeta
ble matter, and may be taken 1 y persons of both
sexes and of ah ages, without t ie least danger of
unpleasant consequences. In tine, the public are
assured that Gallighan’s Pills possess those inesti
mable virtues, which are requisite -ict only to ar
rest, but to eradicate and destroy tjie last seeds of
this mo«t distressing malady of the’human family.
The proprietors so.emniy pledge themselves that
they do not contain a particle of minerals in any
shape or form, but are composed entirely of simple
vegetable substances, which either separately or
combined, and without regard to sex or age, are
perfectly harmless in their effects upon the human
system.

“ The instruments of Dr. Chase ’have effected
the permanent and accurate retention of the in

are usually ventured upon by those rho wearother

ANTI-BALSAMIC GONORRIKEAL SOLUTION,
Warranted to cure in Five Days.
rHIS incomparable and invaluable remedy so
long known, and used with such unparralieled
success in the Canadas for the last 30 yeais, ap
pears to need no panegyric. Its operation upon the
human system is such that it invariably acts like
a charm, for the relief and radical cure of a certain
common and disagreeable ‘ ills the flesh is heir to.”
This prize obtains its own name from the certain
success which has attended it through all of its
trying circumstances, namely, “five days,”—the
same success which followed it in a Northern lati
tude still obtains in a more Southern. Tire formula
or recipe was obtained at great expense, intrigue
and hazard by M. Cheveres, from the celebrated
Indian Chief Wabekothe, or Great Moon, whilst
he, with others was pursuing the lucrative Fur bu
siness in the North-west with the Indians. —
Wabenoshe prized highly and use it with invariable
success throughout his two tribes. Its known and
valued virtues have already enriched to an a most
incredible extent the children of this war ike prince,
not only by actual sale of the article itself to in
dividuals, but by parting with copies of his receipt
at enormous prices to the Chief of every tribe of
Indians in America, with a solemn promise to the
Great Spirit, never to divulge the “art of its com
position until he sleeps with his fathers,” although
Tree to use it in their respective tribes, which
places it in the hands of every Indian who rely
with, I may say, religious confidence on its cura
ble powers.
Below is a copy of the translation as near as it can
be anglisized of the deed given by Wabenoshe, to
.VI. Cheveret, when he purchased the original recipe,
and had twice assisted the Chief himself through
the tedious manipulatory process of manufacture.
Few white men would credit the length of time
which is consumed in preparing the article for im
mediate use.

is to subdue every vestige of inflamatiun, and then

holding within itself, every requisite virtue, for
the subduclion of this loathsome malady—and ev

The most peculiar virtue of the “Cinq Jours,”
is in this, that wherever it alone has been used to
atfect a cure, none of those tenacious and disagree

from the sudden cure of Gonorrhoea, have been

most loathsome, perplexing, and disagreeable dis

The extraordinary reputation that Dr. Spohn’s

Thai so ra ich suffering should have existed ftfr ages
without any discovery of an effectual preventive, or

invented as will convince the must credulous. The
principles on w hich it acts are simple and plain. It is
an a milled feet that this complaint, w hether called

the'Nervous Headache may rest assured that t his
organ, the stomach, is the first cause, that I h° sys

The truth of this position cannot be controverted,

you, is ro learn who is your authorised agent uTthis

Sir.—l have no hesitation in stating, in reply to
y*<ur note, that your “ Specific Ointment” is truly
equal ic the majority of the ends for which you re
commend it. 1 qualify my certificate by tlfe word
majority, as it is my maxim to give no opinion in
medical matters where 1 have had no experience.
In sprains, bruises, inflammations, eruptions, whit
lows, piles, Ac., it is m , universal recipe. I have
al-o used it on the leg of a boy which had been
bitiei\ by an adder, and the extraction of the poison,
and ultimate cure was so rapid, that my patient was
as well as ever in a week ; and has remained so lo
this day

tHESE Fills are no longer among those of doubt
ful utility. They have passedawav from the 1
hundreds that are daily launched upon the tide of 1
experiment, and now stand before the public as
high in reputation, and as extensively employed in
all parts of the United States, the Canadas, Texas
Mexico, and the West Indies, as any medicine that
has ever been prepared for the relief of suffering
man. They have been introduced wherever it was
found possible to carry them ; and there are but
few towns that do not contain some remarkable
evidences of their good effects. The certificates
that have been presented to the propiietor exceed
twenty thousand! upwards of live hundred of
which are from regular practising physicians, who
are the most competent judges of their merits.
Cften have the cures performed by this medicin
been the subject of editorial comment, in varion
newspapers and journals; and it may with truth be
asserted-that no medicine of the kin 1 has ever re
ceived testimonials of greater value th m are at
tached to this.
They are in general use as a family medicine
and there are, thousands of families who declare they
re never satisfied until they have a supply always
on hand.
They have no rival in curing and preventing
Billions Fevers, Fever and Ague, Dyspepsia, Liver
Complaints, Sick Headache, Jaundice, Asthma,
Dropsy, Rheumatism, Enlargement of the Spleen,
Piles, Cholic, Female Obstructions, Heartburn,
Furred Tongue, Nausea, Distension of the Stomach
and Rowels, Incipient Diarrhoea,Flatulence,Habitu
al Costiveness,Loss of Appetite,lllotchedor Sallow
Complexion, and in cases of torpor of the bowels,
where a cathartic or aperient is needed They are
exceedingly mild in their operation, producing
neither nausea, griping no. debility.
The following was forwarded to Dr. Peters, by a

Dr. Peters —Dear Sir, —By request of your agent,
Mr. Harrison, I send you a few lines respecting the
almost miraculous effects of yourpiPs; and I would
a id, that you may make use oi them, in connection
with rny name, in any manner yon deem proper, I
speak of their merits from expei ience.as 1 and my
family have taken upwards of thirty boxes in three
years ; and so great are the benefits we have receiv
ed from them in general, that I would rather pur
chase them at ten dollars a box than have my house
without them. I will not enumerate the afflictions
they have relieved us of; but I can assure you they
were many, and of very opposite natures, which
has fully proved to me that your medicine is a sim
ple purifier of the system, and therefore equally
the enemy of every disease. 1 will mention one
case. 1 have a sister who had been for a long pe
riod severely afflicted with dropsy in the chest and
was brought by it to the very verge of the grate.
She was attended by the most eminent physicians
that money could procure; but ail their efforts to
restore her to health, or even to mitigate her suffer
ings were fruitless ; and accordingly,we all consid
ered her immediate death as inevitable, i y good
fortune, however, as she was in this situation, ex
pect ngevery day to be her last, your pills were
introduced into my family, and so speedy and pal
pable were their effects that three doses visibly re
lieved her, and in less than three months she was
perfectly restored to health. This case, I and all
who were witness of it, (but more especially the
suffering party,) considered to be the next thing to
miraculous ; and yet i*could mention many more
of an equally desperate nature, in which your pills
were equally successful in rescuing the patients
from the jaws of death. Need 1 add that the popu
larity of your medicine amounts to enthusiasm in
this section of the country ? But this I presume <
you know 7 from the immense quantity you dispose i
of 1 may mention, however, that notwithstanding 1
its general use, I never hoard an individual complain i
of its effects. My residence is 12 miles from Bat *
eigh, on the road to Fayetteville. I am, with sen
i timents of regard, your ob’t servant.

To Dr. Peters, —Sir —For upw’ard- of fifteen
j months, I have been cruelly afflicted with Fever
; and Ague; and during the time could find nothing— 1
though 1 had applied to every thing that gave me
any tiling like permanent relief. At length, how- |
ever, your pills were recommended to me, by one
'of our best phj sicians, and lam most grateful and 1
happy in being able to add, that 1 had scarcely used
two boxes when 1 found that they had restored me ‘
to perfect health. Since then, various members of
my family have used them with equal success—
and consequently 1 feel it my duty to apprise you
iof the fact, and to request of you to publish this (
1 certificate, as Lam anxious to add my public testi- ,
mony to the almost miraculous virtues of your un
rivalled medicine. Respectfully yours,

which it restores the virile powers when they have

In common with the generality of really good
medicines, ihist ordial cord ans nothing of a mer

so simple, yet so i fficacious, that while it can reno
