FINHE great celebrity of this unrivalled Corapo-
I siiiun, especially in the Norihern States, leaves
the proprietor but little need to say any thing in its
favor: lor it has been generally conceded to it, that
it is beyond all comparison the best remedy for ex
temai complaints that has ever been discovered.
Indeed the_speed and certainty of its opera-ions,
! have the appearance of miracles ; as ulcers, woeuds, .
i corns, fever sores, chilblains, w hile swellings, biles,
piles, spider and snake bites, Ac. Ac., immediately
yield to its superhuman influence. Thus, il prop
erly applied it will remove an inveterate corn or
break and heal a hbe in five days, will allay and
' perfectly cure an ulcer m two weeks, and the most
desperate cases of while swelling that ran be ima
gined have been destroyed by it in less than two ;
months. In the bites of poisonous reptiles il* effi- j
| cacy is truly surprising, and if applied in lime, its
. powers of attraction are so wonderful that they will
at once arrest the poison and thus prevent it from
perva ang the system. It is likewise greatly supe
rior Vo any medicine heretofore discovered for the
i chafed back and limbs of horses—tor tetters, ring
worms, chapped lips—and in short, for every extei
nal bodily evil that may fall to the lot oi man or
beast.
The proprietor has received at least a thousand

which were w ntien by respectable members of the
Medical Faculty.

Ca ,March 3d. 1838;
Dr. Peters —Dear Sir, By request of your agent,
Mr. Harrison, 1 send you a few iincs respecting the
1. almost miraculous effects of your pips ; an dl would
] add, that you may make use ol them, in connection
■ with my name, in any manner you deem proper, 1
speak of their merits from experience, as I and n y
family have taken upwards ol thirty boxes in three
years ; and so great are the benents we have receiv
ed from them in general, that I would rather pur
chase them at ten dollars a box than have my house
without them. I will not enumerate the afflictions
they have relieved us of ; but 1 can assure you they j
were many, and c£ very opposite natures, wbicn
has fully proved to me that your medicine is a sim
ple purifier of the system, and therefore equally
the enemy of every disease. I will mention one
case. 1 have a sister who bad been for a long pe
riod severely afflicted with dropsy in the chest and
was brought by it to the very verge of the grate.
She was attended by the most eminent physicians
1 that money could procure; but ail their efforts to
restore her to health, or even to mitigate her suffer
ings were fruitless ; and accoidingiy,we ail consid
ered her immediate death as inevitable. By good
• fortune, however, as she was in this situation, ex
pect ng every day to be her last, j our pills were
introduced into my family, and so speedy and pal
pable were their effects that three doses visibly re
lieved her, and in less than three months she was
perfectly restored lohealth. This case, I and all
who were witness of it, (but more especially the
suffering party,) considered to be the next thing to
miraculous; and yet I could mention many more
of an equally desperate nature, in which your pills
were equally successful in rescuing the patients
from the jaws of death. Need I add that the popu
larity of your medicine amounts to enthusiasm in
this section of the country ; But this 1 presume
you know Lorn the immense quantity you dispose
of 1 may mention, however, that notwithstanding
its general use, I never heard an individual complain
of its effects. My residence is 12 miles from k»k
eigb, on the road to Fayetteville. 1 am, with sen
timents of regard, your ob’t servant.
A. G. BANKS.
To Dr. Peters, —Sir—For upward* oi fifteen
months, 1 have been cruelly afflicted with Fever
and Ague; and during the tune could find nothing —
though I had app-ied to every thing that gave me
any thing like permanent relief. At length, how
ever, your puis were recommended to me, by one
of our best ph> sicians, and I am most grateful and
happy in being able to add, that I had scarcely used
two boxes when 1 found that they had restored me
to perfect health. Since then, various members of
my family have used them with equal success—
and consequently 1 feel it my duty to apprise you
of the fact, and to request of you to publish this
certificate, a? lam anxious to add my public testi
mony to me almost miraculous virtues of your un
rivalled medicine. Kespecliuiiv yours,
