T- COMMERCIAL. latest dates from Liverpool, June 3 latest dates from Havre, June 2 AUGUSTA MARKET. Cotton— Our market is brisk, and high prices paid, since our last report. The late Liverpool account received on Tuesday to 31 inst. per Great Western, have had no effot t on our market to lower r ates- —On toe contrary, sales to day of good and prime have been fully sustained, and more desire to buy. We quote 6to 9£ cents as extremes for round bags; square, if choice, a fraction over. The better descriptions are in much demand, being de sired principally for remittances. Groceries. —We have no change to notice. Tha market is generally well supplied with all the leading articles, and prices are as low as the de ranged state of our currency and the exorbitant rates of exchange will allow. Freights— To Savannah, 50 cents per bale; to Charleston, by rail road, 25c per ICO lbs. for square, and 35c per 100 lbs. for round bales. The wife knew of the fact, for it was to her I addressed j myself. When 1 arrived at the landing, I came off ! leaving my cloak, which was carried off by the individuals aduded to. The lady, if 1 mistake not, told me they were moving from South Carolina to ! the western part of this State, (Georgia). The horse is of or dinary size, about ten 1 years old, —his under lip much cut with the bit, —a small spot in bis face,— switch tail, —rather cat-hamed, —one hind foot white, above his pastern,—marked with the collar, and trots and paces. The Poney also trots and paces; has one hind foot white above the postern, —a long switch tail—collar marks, and is rather slim, with, keen legs, and is about 5 or 6 years old. His dam was High land Mary and her dam a full-blooded Archie mare; the sire of Highland Mary was old PacoleL Tom Tunstall was sired by o!d Pacific, and he by old Sir Archie. This is a-s far as lam able to go, tho r I am satisfied Tom Tunstall has descended Lomas good a stock as any horse in the Unified States.— He was a race horse of the first order, but 1 loar will never be able to make a first rate race again, owing to his leg; it was injured when a three year old, in training, as I believe. By addressing Hah xxy Cryf.r, Gallatin, Tennessee,you can get a full pedigree of the darn of Tom Tunstall.” The same Mr. Hardy Cryer certifies thus: —“ Highland Mary combined as many or more rich crosses of thorough breds than any maie ever laised in Tennessee.— She was got by the noted horse Pacolet, the son of imported Citizen ; her dam Hosey Carey by Sir Archie; grand-dam Sally Jones by the imported horse Traveller, called Big Ben or Chorlemaine, (son of O’Kelley’s Eclipse, and one of the purest | importations of the last century;) great grand-darn by the imported horse Wrangler; great-great-grand dam O’Possum by imported Shark; great-groat great-grand-dam by the celebrated American quar ter race horse, Goode’s old Twigg; great-great great-great-grand-dam by imported Fearnaught; great-great-great-great-great-grand-dam by Leo’s old Mark Anthony out of a mare by imported Mou koy.” On the sire’s side it is deemed unnecessary to trace beyond Sir Archie.
