There has been good enquiry for Upland and
a fair business has nagaged dealers, but the gen
eral features of the narket have undergone some
change since our r oprt of tire sth inst. ihe de
sire among purcha rs on Saturday last to operate,
produced an acliv ■ demand lor the article, and
throughout that d. full prices were obtained ; at
the opening of the r-arket, however, on Monday,
the excitement ha simsid, d, and tor several suc
cessive days the tr nsactions were light but last
week’s rates were laintaiued. In consequence of
the withdrawal of dyers on Thursday holders yes
terday were ii due i to yield a little, and sa es
were made on the inferior and ordinary, and mid
dling to middling ur descriptions at a decline of
