Exchange. —To-day the demand has been light—
and we note sales on Ncw-York at IS per cent for
Georgia Rail Road notes, and 20 per cent for Cen
tral Bank. On Charleston at 1 per cent less, these
are Brokers rates.—We hpar that some of the
Banks have been drawing for loss for Georgia Rail
Road notes, but could not learn the rate.
Money Matters. —As the season advances the
better currency is daily becoming more scarce and
consequently in greater demand. We note sales of
State Bank Branches and other notes of equal
value at 15 per cent premium for Georgia Rail
Road —and 17 for Central Bank.
We learn upon authority to be relied on, that the
Branch Bank of Darien at Dahlonega is paying its
Bills in coin whenever presented.

In our review of Saturday morning last we stated
that there existed an unwillingness on the part of
holders, generally, to realize even at the advanced
rates then quoted, in censequence of which buyers
had on the day previous ceased to operate to any
considerable extent. The market on .Saturday,ow
ing to the same causes, opened with a languid de

day, though in consequence of holders having li.i
ally consented to accept the quoted rales, a tew
operators came forward, and sales were eliected to
the extent of about 3401) hales. On monday trans
actions were very limited, scarcely exceeding 1000

conclusion to await the advices front Euiopc per.

I QUIRK’S CAS VILA OIL, tOR THE
II AIK.
A FINE head of hair has always been viewed as
J\_ the most distinguished ornament of the hu
man frame, and indispensably essential to personal
beauty.
The CASADA OIL, is so denominated, because
itis composed of vegetable ingredients, and its vir
tues are pre-eminently displayed in the following
respects: It possesses properties of the most salu
b ’ uus nature, which will eradicate the scurf and
a.l impurities of the hair—nourishes the hair and
prevents its tailing oif, and lessens the liability of
the hair to turn gray; strengthens the weakest j
hair; produces a luxuriant growth; gives a vigor j
to the hair which soon produces an inimitable na- ’
tural curl, and pievents it falling out in a damp j
atmosphere, or during exercise ; renders the hair, j
either natural or artificial, beautifully soft and
pleasant; bestows an inestimable gloss and pleas
ant perfume to the tresses; in line, it renders the
hair dress transcendanlly beautiful—promotes the
growth of whiskers, eye-brows, &c.
Those who have u--edthe Casada Oil pronounce
it superior to any Hair Oil they have ever seen.—

its effects.
Dr. Leidy would refer to the most respectable
physicians in Philadelphia, as well as throughout
the United Stales, for the character of his prepara

physicians and others, that have been from lime to
time published, now deemed unnecessary, as the
character of his preparation is firmly established.
Throughout the Southern States it is used aIU gc

over all others, particularly among physicians, who
for the benefit of their patients, always recommend
it. Dr. Leidj can boast :is many effectual cures
performed by his Medicated Extract of Sarsaparilla
as has ever been effected by any medicine in ex
