ON motion, it wai ordered, That the City Mar- j
shal shall gave public notice, that the Ordi
nance to prevent dugs i mining at large, will be put !
in force on and after the first day of May next.
“ Be it ordained by the City Council of Augusta, j
that from and alter the passage of this Ordinance, j
and until the first of November next, and between
the Ist of April and the lit of Novembei in each
and every year thereafter, all dogs found at large
in the City of Augusta, except such as may wear
such a collar, as the City Council may authorize the
sale of, as provided in the 2d section of this Ordi
nance, shall be liable to be killed by the City Mar
shal, or such person as he may authorize and ap
point for that purpose.
Sec. 2d. And be it further ordained, &c , That
the City Marshal be, and he is hereby authorized
to provide such a number of Metal Collars,suitabje
for Dogs of different sizes, maikcd C. A. and num
bered nom No. 1 upwards, and dispove of the
same for the sum of thiee dollars each, to such
persons as may apply for the same, which shall
protect, until the Ist day of April next ensuing,
such dog as may wear the same, from being killed,
except during an alarm of Hydrophobia in the city,
or in the event of any dog wearing such collar,
being dangerous to the life or safety of any person.
Sec. 3d. And be it further ordained, &.C., That
any Collars furnished by the City Marshal, and
paid for between the time of the passage of this
ordinance and the lat of April next, shall protect
any dog wearing the came, except as before ex
cepted, until the Ist of April, 1811.
Done in Council, the 7th September 1841.
The above ordinance will be strictly enforced on
and after the Ist day of May next. I

uterine obstruction and chronic inflammation, with
a pulse up to about 120 beats in the minute, she

IT appearing to this Court upon the petition of
John Heath, that on the 12th day of February,
1836, William Heath of Warren count}', (Ja., exe
cuted ahd and delivered to the said John Heath his
certain bond conditioned that he, the said William
Heath, would make or cause to be made unto him,
the s#id John Heath, his heirs or assigns, good and
lawful titles to a certain lot of land lying in said
county, adjoining lands of James Wynne and oth
ers, and the said William Heath has since the exe
cution of said bond, departed this life without
executing said titles. It is therefore ordered: that
the Executor■ of the said William Heath, deceased,
do execute lilies to the aforesaid lot of land ac
cording to the tenor and elTcct of said bond, unto
the said John Meath, in terms of the statute in such
cases made and provided: and that a copy of this

j forth that Apdrew Floyd of said county, by
his certain deed, bearing date the 7th day of Janu
ary, 1840, did (for the purpose of securing the pay
ment of lue two promissory notos of the said An
drew, dated on the said day, one lor twelve hundred
and seventy-live dollars thirty-one cents, due the
Ist day of January, 1841, the other for twelve
: hundred and fifty dollars sixty-three cents, due the
Ist day of January, 1842, which said notes arc
signed by the petitioner as the sc mity of said
, Andrew, both payable to Robert A. Allen, Admm
; istrator of Peter Matthews,) mortgage to the said
Seaborn J. Cox all that tract of land in said county
j of Burke, containing An e hundred and eighty-three
acres, on the south side of Boggy Gut, adjoining
■ lands of Pemberton, Fryer and Mulkcy; and that
i the said Andrew failed to pay the first said note,
j Hie said Seaborn J. has had to pry the said first
mentioned note, and that there is now due the said
Seaborn J. on the first of said notes the sum ol

ing to the Court by return of the Sherilf, that
the defendant is not to bo found in said Stale and
county, it is therefore ordered that service be ef
fected—a puulica'ien in one of the public Gazettes
of said State once a month for four months.
