growth of Bread-stuffs, Provisions, Stock of all
kinds—thereby rendering the Southern section oi

daily consumption, upon our Eastern and West
ern brethren, ami aiiordiag a more ample field for
improvement oi our rapidly exhausting soils —the
undersigned have been induced to undertake the
publi a, io;i of the. .Southern Planter, a work
which will t-e exclusively devoted to the cause of
Southern Agriculture, and whatever pertains to
tne promotion of the science, In all its varied ram
ideations, extending ns they do through nil the

ble consideration of every intelligent Planter who
feels the necessity ot such a medium of communi
cation, and to such, without further remark, we
make a direct app al in its behalf, confident that

limited his means.
TERMS.
The Southern Pla vrr.a will bo issued ovary
other week; the first number will ippear early in
January, on fine paper and new 1 vrs, (bought
expressly for the work) in a form suitable for bind
ing. Each number to vontai 1 eight pages 9by 12
indies, which will form at the end of the year, a
volume of 209 pages, and will be mailed to sub
scribers at ON 14 DOLLAR par year, invariably
IN ADVANCE.
The CASH piinciple will be rigidly adhered to,
and in no case will the work be forwarded unless -
the cash act-companies the order.

ic, Lawyer, Doctor or Merchant, vs im feels the ne
