John O. Marha and Miss Hester Gbimslkv, both
of this county.
On the 12th inst., by the Rev. G. H. W. Petrie,

May this union of hands be a union of hearts,
With all the rich blessings that wedlock imparts.
Be lofty their mansion or lonely their cot,
May peace and contentment reign over their lot.

AUGUSTA MARKET.
Weekly Report Tuesday, P. M.
COTTON.—BeIow we present our readers with
tables of receipts, stocks and exports, as far as we can
obtain them thus early in the season —very few of our
commercial correspondents having as yet commenced
i their tables regularly. It will be seen that the new
i'erop is coming to market much earlier this year than
the past, and that the receipts, so far, in New Orleans,
Mobile, Charleston and Savannah, amount to 58,188
bales, against 19,247 bales at the same period last
year, and showing the increase is at all points. The
stock this year shows a decrease of 15,724 bales, and
the exports, Foreign and Domestic, show an excess of
[9,917 bales. The European accounts, last received,
[show a good demand both for the raw material and
manufactured goods, and that the stock in Great Bri-
I I ,inis on the decrease, and although no improvement
i prices has taken place, yet the prospect of an
bundant harvest and a healthy state of trade has
iven confidence to holders, and the stocks are not
ressed on the market.
Vfe hear nothing to change our views as regards
le growing crop; and from all the information we
an gather we look for a fair average yield in this
action of the Cotton growing region. There is much
aeculation as to the extent of the growing crop, but
is yet too early to make any statements that would
e reliable, estimates varying from 2,200,000 to
900,000 bales.
