AtC CSX A MARKET.
Monday, P. M.
COTTON. —We have had a quiet day in the Cotton trade
to-day. There was little demand, and the operations quite
limited. The effect of the Steamer’s news is to he ascer
tained.
Liverpool Markets.
Cottox had been active. The demand from the trade was
good and freely met by holders. Prices had advanced 34d.
per lb. 'The sales of the week reached 74,800 bales, of
which 46,300 to the trade, 22,800 to speculators, and
4,690 bales to exporters. The quotations are Fair Upland
s>sd.; Fair Mobile Fair Orleans 53»d.; Middling Mo
bile and Upland 4%d.; Middling Orleans sd.
Corn was fiat at nominal rates mixed 295.; Red 295. 6d.;
While 325.
LIVERPOOL, Feb. 20.—Petiey & Co.’s Circular states
“ we have again to report an extensive firmness in Cotton,
the sales of the week amounting to 74,300 bales, and of the
previous week 57,320 bales, showing that a large portion
of the entire stock had been turned over during the fort
night. Accounts from America, together with light ship
ments for this market, and the demand being great for other
places has had some effect here, and then again the buoy
ant state of the Manchester market, with an extensive de
mand for goods and yarns, and the absence of Stocks must
have given great encouragement to buyers. We find that
Spinners have purchased largely to cover contracts entered
into for future delivery. These combined have caused a
considerable amount of animation in the market, and had
it not been that importers continued to supply the demand,
an advance of Importance must have taken place. As it
is, bower, we cannot call the improvement much more than
lb., and it is chiefly upon middling and the better
qualities. Speculators took 14,500 bales of American, 1,000
Pernambuco, 170 Bahia, and 7,040 Surat. Exporters took
3,080 American, 20 Pernambuco, 70 Egyptian, and 1,510
bales Bengal and Surat, leaving the trade 40,500 bales.
The Manchester market for good- and yarns, particular
ly the latter, had greatly improved. Stocks on hand are
small, and Spinners are well supplied with orders.
Money Market.
The English Stock market was active at improved rates.
The Bank of England’s rates of discount were 2 V,' ' cent.
Private Banks discounted at 2)J. Consols closed at 97)4 @-
97 3 g for money and account. The bullion in the Bank had
increased to £18,596,167.
The condition of the English market had favorably af
fected American Stocks, and United States aud State secu
rities were in active demand.
The Stock of bullion in the Bank of England shows an in
crease of £314,524 as compared with last year.
Consols closed at 973-4.

MEXICAN MUSTANG LINIMENT.
To the Halt, tlie I-nine, the Sore, and the Stiff Jointed :
“ WE BRING GLAD TIDINGS OE GREAT JOY !”
This limyient is one of the most perfect remedies ever offered to the afflicted. Its action upon the organization is j
truly wonderful. Its volatile, penetrating, soothing and healing properties diffuse themselves to the very bones. It
enters into the circulation of the blood —gives a new impulse to the whole nervous system to the very extremities of the
fingers aud toes —stimulates the absorbents and secretions, and thus

in so many different complaints. It acts upon scientific principles and
FIXED LAWS OF THE CREATOR.
From the hundreds of cures that are being almost daily reported to us from all parts of the country, we give a few below.
YV m. M. Johnson, No. 112 Second-street, Pittsburg, says that he had a
SEVERE ATTACK OF RHEUMATISM IN HIS RIGHT HIP.
After suffering some ten days tite left hip also became affected, and he was obliged to “layup.” The pain was constant
and excruciating. He had heard of the wonderful effects of the Mustang Liniment in Rheumatism, and determined to
try it. One small bottle, thoroughly applied, performed a perfect cure! B. H. Meakings, 189 Walnut-street, Cincinnati,
was confined to his bed and under treatment of a physician some six weeks, with
NEURALGIA, OF THE WHOLE OF HIS RIGHT SIDE,
leg, arm and face; his sufferings .were indescribable, and the only cessation from the most agonizing pain, was while under
the influence of opium or morphine. His doctor finally advised him to try the Mustang Liniment; he did so, and in two
days was able to go about his business, perfectly cured.
SALT RHEUM.
Mrs. Anna M. Pierce, wife of John Pierce, Plumber, on Market-street, had been afflicted for many years with this trou
blesome anil obstinate affection. The disease was confined, principally, to her hands, which would become very much in
flamed and swollen, producing almost intolerable itching and burning. After a few days, this erysipelatous irritation would
subside, when tlie skin would peel off' and dry in scales, and at every joint
LARGE AND FRIGHTFUL CRACKS
would penetrate nearly to the bone, extending half way around the fingers, and entirely across the palms of the hands. In
consequence of this drying and contracting of the muscles, the bauds were nearly closed, and the ends of the fingers drawn
towards the centre of the palms. In this awful condition,
SHE SUFFERED FOR YEARS,
trying every remedy that Doctors could prescribe, without any relief. A bottle of Mustang was brought into the house by
a young man who was using it for

and was so much henefitted by it that he requested her to try it on her hands ; she did so, and by the use of a few bottles,

The frightful cracks have closed, the roughness and excoriation of tlie skin have disappeared, and her fingers and hands are as
PLIABLE AND SOFT AS AN INFANT’S.
FOR HORSES AND OTHER ANIMALS.
There is noli ing can be compared to the MUSTANG LINIMENT, in its speedy and permanent cure of Strains, Bruises,
Cuts, Galls, Chafes, Scratches, Sweeney, Poll Evil, Fistula, Big Head, Spavin, Ring-bone, YVind-gall, Cracked Heels,
or any wound, stiffness, or unnatural enlargement of bone or muscle. A livery stable keeper of this city had a match horse
th >it he prized very highly that had a large ring-bone on both legs. The horse was completely cured, and his limbs left per
fectly smooth by the use of this Liniment.
TO COUNTRY MERCHANTS.
Every store should be supplied with this valuable Liniment, as it pays a good profit and sells rapidly.
The Mustang Lintmknt is put up in bottles of two sizes, and sells for 50 cents and $1 per bottle.
