LIVERPOOL, Feb. 21.— Cotton. —We have again to re

appeared to derive strength from the American accounts re

been manifested, and the extreme prices of Tuesday are not
readily obtained.

in Cotton during the week ending last evening, the sales
reaching 74,400 bales, of which speculator? have taken 22,-
810, and exporters 4,690 bales. To-day the demand has
been more freely supplied, and notwithstanding purchasers
have taken 10,000 bales, extreme rates cannot he realized,
and the market closes quietly at an advance of %d. fi lb.

another active week’s business in Cotton. There has been
a good daily demand from the trade, and speculators and
exporters have also taken a large quantity, especially on
the 17th, when the sales reached 15,000 bales. Prices of
American have advanced fully ? B 'd. y lb. The week’s sales
are 74,300 bales, including 22,810 on speculation, and 4,690

CONSUMPTION CAN BE CURED.
Dll .II AST I X G'B COM POEXD SYRUP OF
NAPHTHA.—The wonder and doubt felt by the Medical
Faculty when Dr, Hasting proclaimed the curability of Pul
monary Consumption, by the use of Naphtha as a remedial
agent, life's now, after eiglit years of trial, settled down into
a deep conviction that there are fewer no cases in which
Consumption cannot be cured bv
DR. HASTING’S COMPOUND SYRUP OF NAPHTHA.
In every casein which it has been tried in Ragland or the
United States, it b:is been followed by immediate relief and
ultimate cure. In the Blenheim Free Dispensary, under
the charge of Dr. Hastings, 'during five years that the
Naphtha lias been in use, there has not been a single death
from disease of the Lungs, while previously patients had
died almost every week. In incipient stages of Consump
tion the effect of the Naphtha Syrup is almost miraculous,
and a cure effected in an incredibly short space of time. In
the more advanced stages, and even in the third or last
dreadful division of this hitherto incurable disease, its ef
fect is equally wonderful. This period is marked by the
expectoration of the tubercles in cheese-like particles,
mixed w ith pus, mucous, blood, Ac., and most generally ac
companied with diarrhea. On administering the Naphtha
Syrup, the formation of the tubercles is almost instantly ar
rested, the foreign matter thrown off, the tubercles already
formed are destroyed, and the breathing immediately be
comes easier, and the patient, on the third night after first
taking the Syrup, is often able to enjoy a quiet night’s rest
—a thing unknown for weeks previously.
THE TRIAL OK A SINGLE BOTTLE
is all th at is asked by the Proprietor to prove this medicine
to be all that has been stated.
BRONCHITIS.
Bronchitis has in this remedy a sure and speedy cure,
and is {acknowledged by all the medical faculty to be with
out a rival in the speedy cure of Bronchitis, both acute and
chronic.
COUGHS, COLD AND CATARRHS
yield to the influence of the Naphtha Syrup, often in the
short space of forty-eight hours.
NIGHT SWEATS.
This distressing and weakening accompaniment to Con
sumption and sther diseases, is instantly stopped by the use
of the Naphtha Syrup.
SPITTING OF BLOOD,
The most severe attacks of Spitting of Blood have inva
riably been stopped within the short space of thirty mi
nutes, and all disposition to recurrence of the same pre
vented. In conclusion, the Proprietor warrants the Naph
tha Syrup, to be not only the best but the only certain cure
for Pul nonary Consumption, and all other diseases of the
Lungs.

MEXICAN MUSTANG LINIMENT.
To the Halt, the Eame, the Sore, and the Stiff Jointed:
“ WE BRING GLAD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY !”
THIS EIXIMEXT is one of the most perfect remedies ever offered to the afflicted. Its action upon the organization is
truly wonderful. Its volatile, penetrating,* soothing and healing properties diffuse themselves to the very bones. It
enters into the circulation of the blood—gives a new impulse to the whole nervous system to the very extremities of the

FIXED T VS OF THE (’REATOR.
From the hundreds of cures that are being aim st daily reported to us from all parts of the country, we give a few below.
Wm. M. Johnson, No. 112 Second-street, Pittsbunr, says that he had a
SEVERE ATT AUK OF RHEUMATISM IN HIS EIGHT HIP.
After suffering some ten days the left hip also became affected, and he was obliged to “ lay up.” The pain t<Ns constant
and excruciating. He had beard of the wonderful effects of the Mustang Liniment in Rheumatism, and.determined to
try it. One small bottle, thoroughly applied, performed a perfect cure ! B. H. Meakings, IS9 Walnut-street, Cincinnati,
was confined to his bed and under treatment of a physician some six weeks, with
NEURALGIA, OF THE WHOLE OF HIS RIGHT SIDE,
leg, arm and face; his sufferings were indescribable, and the only cessation from the most agonizing pain, was while under
the influence of opium or morphine. His doctor finally advised him to-try the Mustang Liniment; he did so, and in two
days was able to go about his business, perfectly curd.
SALT RHEUM.
Mrs. Anna M. Pierce, wife of John Pierce, Plumber, on Market-street, had been afflicted for many years with this trou
blesome and obstinate affection. The disease was confined, principally, to her hands, which would become very much in
flamed and swollen, producing almost intolerable itcliing and burning. After a few days, this erysipelatous irritation would
subside, when the skin would i>eel off and dry in scales, and at every joint
LARGE AND FRIGHTFUL CRACKS
would penetrate nearly to the bone, extending half way around the fingers, and entirely across the palms of the hands. In
consequence of this drying and contracting of the muscles, the hands were nearly closed, and the ends of the fingers drawn
towards the centre of the palms. In this awful condition,
SHE SUFFERED FOR YEARS,
trying every remedy that Doctors could prescribe, without any relief, A bottle of Mustang was brought into the house by
a young man who was using it for

and was so much benefitted by it that he requested her to try it on her hands ; she did so, and by the use of a few bottles,

The frightful cracks have closed, the roughness and excoriation of the skin have disappeared, and her fingers and hands are as

There is notl’ingcan be compared to the MUSTANG LINIMENT, in its speedy and permanent cure of Strains, Bruises,
Cuts, Galls, Chafes, Scratches, Sweeney, Poll Evil, Fistula, Big Head, Spavin, Ring-bone, Wind-gall, Cracked Heels,
or any wound, stiffness, or unnatural enlargement of bone or muscle. A livery stable keeper of this city had a match hors*
