tJT R«*a<i the following certificate from the f
Hon. H. D. Foster, Member of Congress from Pennsylvania : |
Washington, D- C., June 10, 1846. Dear Sir /—I have
been a dyspeptic sufferer for about ten years, and hare
resorted to various medicines for relief, without success, un
til 1 made use of your Oxygenated Bitters. I have used
about two bottles, and find myself restored to perfect
health. The forms in which the disease showed itself, in
my case, were, great acidity of the stomach, loss of appe
tite, extreme flatulence, severe constipation of the bowels,
and violent headache. Feeling desirous that ti knowledge
of your valuable remedy may reach others similarly afflict
ed, 1 take great pleasure in recording my testimony to i:s
curative power ; and would also remark, that while on a
visit at home a short time since, 1 administered a part of a
bottle to a number of my afflicted friends, with great suc
cess. They are desirous that you should establish an agen
cy at Pittsburg, or inform them where the medicine can be
obtained With an earnest desire for your prosperity and
happiness. 1 subscribe myself, truly your friend,
H. D. FOSTER.

AUGUSTA MARKET
Weekly Report Tuesday, P. M
1 COTTCN. —At the close of our last weekly report the mar
-1 ket was unsettled, and prices rather irregular. Subsequent
-1 ly, however, a better feeling was exhibited find prices be
’ came more settled and the market acquired greater firm
ness. Later accounts from Europ® hat e, however, had the
effect of again unsettling prices, and yesterday and to-day
prices have given away at least, to cent from the
1 rate 0 current on Tuesday last. The nransactions t® day
1 have not .xeeeded 800 bales, and although prices have not
1 been steady, the flowing quotations approximate very
■early the general range : —Middling tc Good Middling
9X; Middling Fair and Fair 9# cents.
The market closed to-day feeble, and the tendency was
decidedly in favor of buyers. Without more favorable ac
counts, therefore, from abroad, and a corresponding feeling
in the home markets, prices will probably recede still furth
er, under the very heavy and rapidly increasing receipts at
the ports, and the very general disposition manifested by
Planters to sell on arrival.
