TpHIS Steamship is designed to sail from Savan
-1 nah, Georgia, on the fourth of January, third SSOSi
sf February, oth of March, third of April, and fourth of
May, for Chagres, touching at Nassau, N. P., Inagua,
(with the Turk’s Island mails,) and Jamaica. She will be
das at Chagres on the 14th of each month, and return on
tbs 18th, by same route to Savannah.
As this service contemplates arrangements only for a
tmited number of passengers, persons who desire to avoid
srowded boats will find the route a desirable one; and in
valids, who wish to spend the Winter among the West In
dia Islands, may find conveyance in the Company’s Steam
ships, twice a month, between Jamaica and the following
port., in addition to those named above:

Barbadoes, Guadeloupe, St. Lucia,
Carriacon, Jacmel, St. Thomas,

VTOTICB is hereby given that from and after this date
lv this Company will receive at the Georgia Railroad
Depot at Augusta, all Cotton, Produce or Merchandize
brought down by the Georgia and other Railroads, and in
tended for the South Carolina Railroad; the Freight and
eharges on which they will pay up to that point, and col
lect the whole, Freight and charges, as agreed above on
delivery in Charleston.
Duplicate receipts will bs given by the Agent of the
Company on the receipt of such Cotton, Produce or Mer
chandise at the Georgia Railroad Depot, one of which will
J* given to the Georgia Railroad Company, and the other
'will be forwarded to the censignee in Charleston, and for
all leu and damage that may occur to sueh Cotton, Pro
dace or Merchandise after it came into their possession,

ment in CARRIAGE SPRINGS, are now prepared to fur

By this improvement a straight piece of wood is made to
form a durable, cheap and efficient spring of great lightness
and strength, that cannot be set or made to strke when
brought entirely down to its bearing, and at the same time,
